its third direct connecting route between Delhi and Gurgaon, after NH-8 and Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road. The expressway will be a 16-lane access-controlled highway running between Shiv Murti in Delhi and Clover Leaf Bridge in Gurugram. The 18.9 km section of the expressway will be in Gurugram and the remaining 10.1 km in Delhi.
Dwarka Expressway Gurgaon Part inaugurated and opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 11, 2024.

Package 1 - in Delhi: Mahipalpur Shiv Murti cloverleaf interchange to Bijwasan railway station underpass:
This stretch will be 5.3 km long starting from Shiv Murti at NH-8 (old numbering, now called NH48) and ending at the approach of the Rail under Bridge near Sector 21, Dwarka. 3.5 km of this will be a deep tunnel running under the runway
Package 2 - in Delhi: Bijwasan rail underpass to Delhi-Haryana Border:
This 4.2 km long stretch will be between Km 5.3 at the Rail under Bridge and Km 9.5 at the Delhi Haryana border on the expressway.
Package 3 - in Gurugram: Delhi-Haryana Border to approach of Basai railway overbridge:
This stretch will be 10.2 km long between Km 9.5 to Km 19.5 of the expressway. The road will pass through Sectors 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 109, 110, 111, 112 and 113 in Gurugram. Since this section has continuous intersection of sector roads,
Package 4 - in Gurugram: Basai rail overbridge to Clover Leaf:
This 8.77 km stretch will start from Rail over Bridge at Basai and end at a cloverleaf interchange near Kherki Daula at NH-48, thus including the route originally planned for the CPR.
Dwaraka expressway will be a remarkable example of modern engineering brilliance, with an 8-lane grade-separated route, three-lane service roads, many crossroad underpasses at key intersection points, and multi-level interchanges.
Additionally, the Dwarka Expressway New Gurgaon will provide direct access to the upcoming India International Convention Centre (IICC) in Sector 25 of Dwarka. It will also provide an alternative route to IGI Airport through an 8-lane shallow tunnel. The strategic location of the expressway ensures superb connectivity to the railway station, Bijwasan, NH-8 and Southern Peripheral Road (SPR).
The 29 km (16-lane) stretch of NH-8 has four multi-level interchanges and is a signal-free highway. The engineering marvel has three-lane service lanes on either side of the motorway, four multi-level interchanges, and numerous crossroad underpasses at major junctions.
