People like to say UGA lucked out with the missed field goal at the end of the OSU games - not so. In the final quarter, we outscored OSU 18-3 and our defense tightened up at the end forcing OSU to attempt a 50-yard field goal which is no gimme as the average makeable range is 37 yards.

      Yep, what Casey Leung said.
People are quick to forget Georgia missed 2 field goals against OSU.
If they would've made those, Noah's kick wouldn't have mattered at all.
Also, OSU fans should be blaming Stroud for Harrison Jr. getting knocked into next season.
Throwing a floater like that to the end zone is dumb and what should be only a desperation move.

Georgia would have beaten OSU, Bama, Michigan, and half of the NFL's team with the clinic they put on during the CFP. Without question, they are head and shoulders above the rest of college football. Like them or not Kirby Smart has built the next dynasty in college football. And for the lack of research from these commentators, Ga didn't play Alabama this year and they didn't struggle with Tennessee. Do your research before making yourself look uninformed.

One thing about a Nick Saban coached team is that you never want to play them the week after they had a bad game. Kirby Smart is a protege of Saban and seems to have adopted that mentality. You could tell all week after the Ohio State game that Smart had a different demeanor about him - he was p****d off and someone was going to pay. Just so happened that TCU was in the crosshairs. Smart got the Dawgs ready to play and on that night, I don't think there would have been a team in the nation that could have beat them.

UGA is the foot, TCU was the roach. You can’t kill a roach with one stump. You have to keep stumping the roach until his little body falls apart.

I was still impressed with TCU regardless of the outcome because they really shouldn't have been there but they earned a spot to be there and no one can take that away from them and I'm not going to take it away from them either it's just that they weren't ready for the bright lights when they we're really on them. It was the same type of pressure Georgia faced last year against Alabama because the six previous times that we had faced Alabama we had been beaten six times! We've been swinging away at this for the last 5 years since 2017 this is what the last two years have been the accumulation of! People who really follow Georgia realize it's been almost a 5-year Journey that we've been on with Georgia since the Tua double overtime natty in 2017! Georgia dominating recruiting over that time as well and then once the guys get here we coach them up and have them play in it a level better than what they're capable at! That's how Georgia's been able to win back-to-back national championships! Don't even get me started about stats and Bennett that's a whole nother story for a whole another day! What we saw yesterday was a culmination of what's been going on in Athens over the last 5 years chopping away at the elite programs in this sport of ours and making a name for ourselves and showing other teams how to do it right! Also showing teams that you don't really need the transfer portal if you got good recruiting! Next year the dogs will have two new faces from the transfer portal because since the transfer portal started Georgia really hasn't been participating that much

It was too bad that this happened to TCU. I didn't want them to be crushed like that but in recent playoffs and championship games,, big twelve teams have been crushed a lot.......USC 55-19 over Oklahoma, LSU 63-28 over Oklahoma......... not just that......sparty lost a playoff game 38-0 and Clemson crushed ND like 31-3 or was that Oklahoma they beat!? I agree with Lou Majors on this thread, we didn’t luck out, we came from behind Twice to take the lead, field goals are a part of football, many a game has been won with a field goal. That said let’s say they weren’t a part of football, they don’t exist, at that point you have the clock and you have down and distance… you’re looking at a 2nd and 45 and a third and forever and no matter what you get in yardage a forth down play basically with no time outs and or no time left on the clock. OSU brought their best effort of the year they had too. And it just wasn’t good enough, tremendous effort but the young man simply missed what is now and forever will be a part of this game we love… a field goal. So paint that picture however you choose, the best team won that night and the rest is history. And at UGA I do mean history, because we know after the National Championship win, starting with Us, nobody cares.

Good show. When Kirby a co are talking about disrespect etc he’s talking about his defending championship program being picked behind Alabama and osu to start the season. That IS disrespect for all the reasons nobody will dare do that this season.
Tennessee was also ranked higher and 1 during the season but everyone is pretending they were not questioned. Nobody said they’d be bad but people clearly thought there would be a drop post players lost. Hell, everyone still talks about a team that averaged 40ppg as a boring run first team that wins because of their defense and in spite of the QB…
As a uga fan it has been amusing to hear people act like nobody doubted them and talk about OSU like they are a Cinderella that got screwed while starting the season off ranked ahead of uga lol. While most programs would be thrilled to be viewed as uga was the reality is if you pick someone to finish behind someone else that is also elite…that is a form of disrespect. Why wouldn’t that motivate a team coming off a ship that just beat the team ranked ahead of them?

OSU doesn't want a rematch. They caught UGA sleep walking thru 3 quarters and that's why it was close. UGA beats OSU by 24 if they played again.

Big12 got exposed in 7 bowls they lost where 4 or 5 were no contest losses. I don’t want to hear that bull crap about matchups and all those excuses you need a Dyson Vacuum to suck up. No excuses for any bowl losses or regular season non conference losses. Do I think big12 was 3rd best or maybe maybe 2nd best conference during regular season? I kind of do. But all the shade thrown on PAC and they had more ranked teams and bowl record and non conference regular season games were better by a smudge. The ACC did well too. The AAC showed up. Heck Tulane won essentially both AAC and Big12 when you think about it. Big12 vs SEC looked awful. I realize TTech won their bowl game against an Ole Miss team. But Ole Miss can use same reasons and excuses that Big12 and PAC12 use in bowl losses.
