When was he neutered? It will take awhile for his hormones to die down a bit. Also rabbits like their own space or "burrow" (which is what they live in in the wild) so they can become aggressive when someone enters it as they like to protect it. Mocha used to be like that. He has settled down now and only does half hearted lunges and he doesn't ever bite. He only protects his hidey houses which are his "burrows. :p
Hopefully he doesn't get adventurous and decided to jump it! I remember walking in my room and finding Lulu walking around my room outside her cage! You could always add one more grid on top if he ends up jumping. Nice cage! Most rabbits hate being picked up as they think they are about to be eaten.
I am hoping he doesn't either because I do enjoy no top on the main part of the cage but we shall see. I just wish he at least kind of tolerated me picking him up! I am used to the pigs running and not being happy but getting boxed, snorted and lunged at is a bit much lol. He scares me when he does that, I am not sure if he would ever bite me or not. Otherwise he and I get along great :)
I wish that would work for a bunny but he will just jump. I have tried getting him into a small box and lifting that out, but he just jumps out of the box before I can even cover it or anything. Piggies are much easier to pick up, even when they don't want to be.
How long has she not eaten hay for? Seymour was a good month to introduce him to hay and now is loving it. Do you restrict her pellets so that she is force to eat hay?
I love his cage base, the whole cage looks lovely. So much room. I had a buck like that too who would box me! haha. I'd just keep an eye on his hocks as sometimes, they can become sore on harder surfaces. I'm loving his new litter tray, its so big and i'm glad he's eating his hay now. x
He is really cute :) Glad that he is eating lots of hay. I wish that one of my rabbits Beauty would eat hay. I have tried 6 or so bales and a few online hays and she still does not eat any hay.
Are C&C cages hard to build? I want to get two male guinea pigs in the future and I heard lots of people saying C&C cages are best. And how much do they cost? Thanks!
Yay! The cage base looks awesome! Seymour must be loving it :D His cage is looking great! If he doesn't jump the 2 grids then that is awesome to keep it open! And you should be okay for his hocks as long as you have different types of surfaces in his cage (which I noticed you do). Some rabbits get sore hocks from soft surfaces and some from hard so just making it part of a weekly health check should be good! :)
If you're on my facebook page, I added his bed under his platform so he has the choice to sleep on that! He is out most of the day anyhow on the carpet in my house too :) He has the grass mats, carpet square, snoozy bed and litter box to be on a different surface, so I hope that is alright for him.
Beginning of September, so he still has time to calm down yet I guess. He used to be really territorial over his things, now it is very seldom...thankfully lol.
Aspen shavings. I HAVE to add some hay in the litter box for him to use it. Having hay in the rack above isn't good enough for him lol. Maybe try a different type of litter and sprinkle some hay on top!
Where did you purchase the jumbo petmate litter box? I can't find it anywhere in gray. Every website sends assorted colors and I really want a gray one I know the video is old 😅
Looks great! Very well made too. My bunny loved being petted, but was a nightmare to pick up. He was so bad, we had to take him to the vet to have his nails trimmed! There was no way the two of us could hold him still
+JazNerd1 A This is an old video, we had just taken him in from a place where he lived in a tiny pet store cage. He was getting used to us and floor time was always given to him. Now he has the entire room at ALL times because the piggy cages are up on wood tables, you can see that in my newest videos :)
awesome cage!!!! it looks awesome. i hope he likes it he seems to approve!:) lol i do worry about sore hocks. you may want to add more mats or something. overall great vid
My bunny Malibu is the same way it took her a while before she started eating the recommended amount of hay for her breed. As well as a terror to pick up but perfectly fine with me clipping her nails, I was also wondering what breed of rabbit is your bunny? Thanks Again P.S. I know this is an old video😊
I don't know that I'll get an answer on this on such an old video, but what kind of bunny it Seymour? He's adorable and about the size and cuteness of the rabbit I would want in the future when I can get one :D
+Melodie He is a netherland dwarf or possibly polish. Not sure because he was adopted and looks like a mix. He is extremely sassy, so he looks cute but can be quite snarky. Rabbits aren't really know for being cuddly and cute. They like to do what they want, when they want :)
hi do you have problems keeping you piggy warm I live in England so was wondering if I need a heat pad I heard you could get one ,but then I was thinking would they be to hot I guess it would be ok if they have room to move a round and could move of it when they wanted to whats your thoughts please x
+Nataliya miroshnyk You could wipe it up easily, would mold if you left it on the wood for a long time. Rabbits though are extremely fast at picking up litter box training, it is like cats, just comes very natural.

Where did you get the base and loft from?

I love the piggies because they make me think that they look like mini hippos for some reason cx
How long has she not eaten hay for? Seymour was a good month to introduce him to hay and now is loving it.
Do you restrict her pellets so that she is force to eat hay?
It would be okay if you tiled it or put some waterproof type of base over the wood, otherwise piggy pee would seep into the wood and rot it.
They are super easy and the best thing you can do for your pets. Giving them a larger space to live will greatly enrich their lives.
At least Seymour is good for nail trimming, the picking up thing is going to take some getting used to!
Phew! One less thing to worry about, he is one spoilt little bunny and it's so nice to see :)
I didn't, I had someone I know make it that likes working with wood.
I love his cage base, the whole cage looks lovely. So much room. I had a buck like that too who would box me! haha. I'd just keep an eye on his hocks as sometimes, they can become sore on harder surfaces. I'm loving his new litter tray, its so big and i'm glad he's eating his hay now. x
gere did you get the base and loft from?

Try not to pick him up from above, scoop him from the side. He may feel like heis being carried off by a predator if you grAb him from above
I love the cage I was thinking of getting a wooden Cade for my pigs but but some waterproof material underneath did you make this yourself
My guinea pig does that when I pick him up too! I just get them in the bed and then pick the bed up, and take it out of the cage. :)
What kind of litter do you use? I bought pine pellets but my rabbit hates them and won't use the litterbox
I wanted to ask, would this wooden cage be alright for guinea pigs? or will the pee seep through?
It is a cool kabob!
If he kicks put your hand over his face cuz then it makes him feel safe and it will com him
Did you custom build the wood base? I am looking for something like this for my two bunnies. Can you tell me where you got this or how you built it?
Wow the cage looks so much nicer! Seymour is so spoiled now. He looks soo happy :)
love the cage! I have a cage like this only bigger since I have two rabbits.
Thank you :)
oh my gosh this looks familiar! Did Oxbow Animal Health page on Facebook share your picture?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks!
THanks!
Haha :)
Yes, I don't have any ideas, I have never owned a bunny. :)
The loft jumping stand and rolling toy
my cage is just like yours, and same size 2×5 in black.
Yay! The cage base looks awesome! Seymour must be loving it :D His cage is looking great! If he doesn't jump the 2 grids then that is awesome to keep it open! sounds good to me:) ur a great care taker!!!!!:)

Did you have a door on his cage because for my c and c cage I can't figure out what to do for a doo
Beginning of September, so he still has time to calm down yet I guess. He used to be really territorial over his things, now it is very seldom...thankfully lol.
I am so happy! Before I worried he was hungry or wouldn't grind his teeth down properly. I just love seeing him really eating a lot of hay!!
Aspen shavings. I HAVE to add some hay in the litter box for him to use it. Having hay in the rack above isn't good enough for him lol. Maybe try a different type of litter and sprinkle some hay on top!
Seymour is to cute I love the new cage !
His cage looks awesome :) I'm so glad he is eating hay well now, that must be a huge weight off your shoulders, he looks like such a happy boy :)
I was down at his level on my knees when I tried to pick him up, I pet him first but as soon as I went to scoop him he goes nuts and gets so mad!!
I think I will make a video on the similarities and differences of owning them!
where did you get the mats from
Nice Cage I think it is cool :)
Yes I have a couple pictures I posted to their page that they put on the main wall!
does he ever go to the bathroom on his hay?
Can we be tube rabbit buddies c:
Yay!! I love it :] xx
I love the new cage!
Aka Seymour
Where did you purchase the jumbo petmate litter box? I can't find it anywhere in gray. Every website sends assorted colors and I really want a gray one I know the video is old 😅
+Peanut Butter Well.ca
I watch your videos a lot I like them so much! I watch your videos mostly on the care parts of them. I am getting a rabbit or a genuine pig.
+Ange& Brooke Rabbits and Guinea Pigs should always be kept in pairs or more, they are social creatures :)
Thank you!! He does seem to be enjoying himself :)
i love the cage ! nice and clean
just asking, should rabbits have unlimited hay?
***** Yes, that is the most important part of their diet.
Semor is so cute
Thank you! I shall keep an eye on his feet.
Looks great! Very well made too. My bunny loved being petted, but was a nightmare to pick up. He was so bad, we had to take him to the vet to have his nails trimmed! There was no way the two of us could hold him still
Thank you!!!
what kinda of material do you use for his litter box? it looks like wood shavings??
Aspen shavings.
I have bin wondering, why do your guinea pigs have more room then your bunny?
+JazNerd1 A This is an old video, we had just taken him in from a place where he lived in a tiny pet store cage. He was getting used to us and floor time was always given to him. Now he has the entire room at ALL times because the piggy cages are up on wood tables, you can see that in my newest videos :)
Can you tell me where you got the supplies in a comment or link on your next video, thanks
+Drew schirmer Which supplies were you wondering about?
awesome cage!!!! it looks awesome. i hope he likes it he seems to approve!:) lol
i do worry about sore hocks. you may want to add more mats or something. overall great vid
Is your bunny potty trained and what type of flooring do you use?
Bunny love 192 He is litter trained, his cage base is untreated pine wood and he has the entire carpeted bed room for his free range time.
Thank you! He is a sweety.
So cute
Thank you!
What type of material do you use for his litter?
Bird Vlogs Aspen shavings
I'm loving his new cage! He's so cute!!! The wood bottom looks really nice!
What kind of wood did you use?
Kiln dried pine
i wish i could do this flooring but my bunny would stain the flooring from peeing on it😰
I would love to get a little loft made like his for my bunny! Where is a good place to get it made??
what do you do if he pees on the wood?
He is litter trained.
great ! :))
+skinnypigs1 is he a Netherland dwarf or dwarf of some sort? By the way I love your vids
I don't know that I'll get an answer on this on such an old video, but what kind of bunny it Seymour? He's adorable and about the size and cuteness of the rabbit I would want in the future when I can get one :D

debzred I just keep the whole house at a nice temperature. You can use a heat disk but I don't know anything about them to be honest.
ok thanks x
And the litter box
you can get litter boxes from places like amazon, petco, petsmart, and other pet stores.
what if you have a new bunny and while you're litter training it, it pees on the wood...wouldn't it start to mold
+Nataliya miroshnyk You could wipe it up easily, would mold if you left it on the wood for a long time. Rabbits though are extremely fast at picking up litter box training, it is like cats, just comes very natural.
+skinnypigs1 oh okay thx
Where did you get the cage and how much was the cage
Bunnies love to chew on wood the hay feeder u have is great :)
I love his loft
Rabbits should have the litter in box.:)
Alicja Mendrala it does have a litter box. She even talked about it
Lol I love how his cute little nosie twitches every moment and how he stuffs hay in his mouth! :)
