The salt lick removes vomit sickness. Choosing the diet to lower means you can decide what diet to give up in order to heal the vomit sickness immediately.
you just know that the forest at east plains is gonna have boulders and rocks every 5 feet to get stuck on. It standard for pretty much every forest biome
I feel like the animation should be a little slower and the delay between attacks should be like 0,5 seconds longer.. seeing such a huge creature move it's meaty tail like a machine gun makes no sense...
They completely broke the main herrera mutation, enlarged meniscus. Now, you always get stunned from jumping a mid-high distance, and it uses 100% of your stamina, yes 100%!! . LOL!
@ tried all sorts of tests, i did 300-350 ish damage max, after that if i jump higher i loose all my stam and get stunned even without the bone break icon…
Idk i still have fun with herrera you have to be really high in order for it to take ur stamina you don't have to be that high in order to kill players
@@TheCaptain-ky1sx only thing I can think of is that the domes are supposed to have different biomes and maybe they have changed plans for how many of them they want in the map. Regardless, it was good for navigation and looked great next to the river and the small human base
For new map expansion, more room to fit more stuff. If ypur lost use a map of Gateway, there's multiple websites that show your location if you paste in your coordinates

Though I do agree that they should make it look more like the environment it is placed in, meaning, this lake should look more like something from East Plains and not a lake from swamps surrounded by jungle forest that you see all over the rest of the island. It's getting a bit boring to keep seeing the same jungle forests everywhere you go
I was hoping for more open spaces and finally a sign of a new dino. But the changes appear interesting. I really hope there are now more ways for a Deino player to traverse from north to south easier and vice versa. Atm it’s a suicide trip.
It was clearly overpowered, they sky was black with Pteronodons. Fortunately we now also have fish eating the op Beipi's. Now if only they'd do something about those Dryo death squads...
@eg-draw yes i might exaggerated the bad af tag but petra is the only dino in the game that can fly, it has no way of recuperate stam midflight, if you fly from one zone to another thats the whole stam depleted. if you want to get 30 feet of altitude, that's half your whole stam depleted. If you fly for 4min you are stuck on a branch or bush for another 4 o 5 min to get stam back. Like there is no enjoyment out of 4 min of playtime. Trying to follow a damaged onmi, carno, dilo or cera is impossible if they run for 2-3min because you're out of stam. Maybe, im bad. But i haven't seen "great" petra gameplay that isnt sitting in a tree and eating fish.
None of this matters if they cant fix the 90% fps framedrops happening completely at random every ten minutes.. Going from 60fps to 6fps (and it stays that way for an hour) ruins the game no matter what additions a patch brings.
I don't experience those hefty frame drops, but the game is still not optimized well. I have a beastly rig and it doesn't deliver constant fps in some situations.
I had this issue until I went into my game's settings and adjusted the resolution to properly fit my PC screen. Nvidia will occasionally mess with some of my games' settings whenever I update drivers, or try to optimize things. I'm back to a stable and consistent 60fps now after fixing my resolution.
They gotta figure out what they want cera to be do they want him bullying smalls effectively or not? Also I thought Omni was already a bit broken recently unless they patched it before so I don’t know why bucking needs to get another nerf for them. And stego can now spam power swing? How much stam does it use to balance out that damage?
stego buff (I CANT) omni buff, no nerfes to grapple which is just insane diablo and cera still broken despite being nerfed east plains is ugly as hell now, plus no one will go there cuz nobody likes being in forests. and to top it off they made beipis life even harder. great update
yeah I was gonna ask why nerf pounce/grapple and thus Omni? We only have ceras and some carnos running around and we need to have people play other dinos too.. I think they are going in the right direction with that. killing yet another plains area is pretty sad though.. I just want open areas to hunt and pvp.
If they spent as much time bringing out new dinos and fixing game mechanics and bugs as they do changing the map we’d be playing a fantastic well-polished, completed, title by now! Haha

I love how cera’s bite has been reduced by 50%!!!! And still it nearly fills a full stomach fully grown utah. So basically with the food draining faster its had no debuff because most people are going to be struggling to fill their stomachs. And then after getting bit and throwing up your in an even worse position because of the drain. I worked it out yesterday and after healing off a cera bite i had 3 minutes to find food before it went red. 3MINUTES!!!! Fighting ceras is just pointless now unless your in a big pack its not worth the fight.
Ok so if food starts at 100 and you get 33% of one diet how the actual hell are you supposed to get a perfect diet? Also love that the east plains is now just east because that isnt plains anymore. Horray for more forests! Yayyyy I love getting lost in thick trees and falling off cliffs yayyyy!!! I love searching 10 mins for a way up or down a cliff while i starve yayyyy!!!!

Herbivores should be able to have a fun game loop, too, and it's not fun to take a bite of food, have it disappear, and eventually starve to death because nothing else spawns in the migration zones. The hordetests were completely abandoned the last few weeks due to the food values for everything (including carnivores diets, it was just more noticeable on herbis) being unable to sustain any kind of play. If nobody plays the prey, nobody will play the predators, and then nobody's playing the game. And that's not what we want. We love this game and want it to be great but this update scares me. I'm concerned the game will die unless the values for each bite of food is fixed.
They added two alternative bushes ( red and blue) that give enought food and diet for things like teno and diablo ( which is a lifesaver for them, previously only galli and pachy could somewhat thrive), didn't tested on stego
@canardcyaneus6084 I've seen those, but adding 2 plants doesn't do anything towards fixing the issue they created with the rest of the food system that needs to be addressed. We had 12-15 different food varieties as herbivores in different biomes across the map that we could choose from to eat at anytime, and now you're saying the only viable options for the main 3 herbivore growers (teno/stego/Diablo) is 2 bushes that only grow in forests??? And they don't even fully fill your diet, only to 30%? You physically can't eat/find enough food right now in migration zones or patrols to get to 100% growth off of the original style of plants as herbivores. Maybe they fixed the spawning issues for plants, idk I haven't played yet, but when only 3 plants spawn in the entire migration zone and they each only give you a single bite of food that immediately falls off due to the increased food consumption rates on all dinos, then it's unplayable. That was the experience from the hordetests and I'm throughly shocked they pushed these results out with how much everyone was complaining about how bad it was.
i can't fucking stand the migration system at this point... i miss the way it was back on spiro, just walk to a part of the map that spawns herbi food and you could find players. now, it's like the servers are full to bursting and i barely find like 2-3 other people for hours :(
For example when u have 2 dots slots in diets, you can remove it entirely and fill it with something else, which is a great addition to diets. Because now u can maintain it easier
@@clarx1626 What you said made sense with the old diet system. Now with the new system, that doesn't count at all, since you always have all three diets active. So, why would I want to empty a diet? It doesn't make any sense, like most of the decisions the devs make in this game.
I played for 2 hours yesterday on 120% growth server. Carno was fucking HELL. 2/3 hours got 60% grown. I was starving the whole time, diets were hell. Maybe its me but they’ve fucked the bodies id be taking out the organs and the body would just turn to bone after like 3 organs came out. Ye they say they dont want a royal deathmatch but the food drain has turned the game into 1, its just a starving simulator right now.
I dont like the new east plains (or east forest). So difficult to travel and no ones around. I saw a few deinos but i think is just for the novelty. When it was the plains it also had a bit of forest and the sanctuary. Such a great place to start. The only positive ting i think of, is that the east portion of the isle will be empty of players (cause the mayority dont like swamps/forest). So it will be easy to encounter people in the rest of the map. Like the east section is erased of the game.
I never thought i’d see a fish swallow a baby croc whole… made me feel a sertain way. Idk if its Good or bad. Either way i am now scared of fish as something smaller
it is full to combat the fact that along with the normal food drain, your stomach capacity is also growing, making it less filled faster. problem is that if you do manage to get alot of diets early on with little food around you will starve due to the rapidly growing stomach capacity and drain from growing

Deino can drown an adult stego that decides to swim. Omni packs can take them down by using pounce properly. Troodon can do the same. Cerato can do it thanks to vomit lock. Dilo doesn’t even need to go in for damage for most of the fight. ...and finally... Dibble can solo a stego pretty easily. Teno has been able to do it for literally years. ...but no one wants to talk about those two. Stego is not invincible in the slightest. it just takes ages to kill, and most people have this mental block that prevents them from trying, so they never learn how to do it.
That's a good question I didn't test that as a parent but when I dropped the egg back on the nest as a raptor I was still able to scent it (I wasn't able to scent eggs in the nest, not sure about rotten ones either)
My question is how tf are u supposed to know if its a mass migration or not, there should be a different icon to encourage people to go to it.... Great video also, u were super fast!

@MaximusProxi I'm sure they'll be more open plains eventually. But a diverse map adds significantly more variety. Compared to old east plains, it's a MASSIVE improvement. If you want pvp, just go to consistent hotspots?

@canardcyaneus6084 That's exactly what I've said. More diversity would benefit the map. Updating East Spawn to a more swampy marshland/ wetland helps with that. I think the majority of the map being jungle was more then 99.9% a place holder with the odd mix around when the map first dropped they've done mostly map updates for the last 6 months!

i dont even go in the old swamp due to the incredible amount of cannis and deinos and the terrible vegetation for hunting and they decide to make another swamp lmao why dont they think like that about open fields... only tress everywhere, u cant even walk without seeing leaves on the screen all the time lol not to say about the dinos, the most powerfull ones are herbivores and the only carni that can have a chance cant stay more than 10 minutes outside the water while being super slow and low stamina, i think they forget the most important part of the realism that is the "dinos" dont have a dino brain controlling them and that even those who play in a group sometimes want to play solo which is basically waste of time in this game...

I'm glad the domes are gone, they were such a waste of space and caused unnecessary choke points. It also slightly increases navigation difficulty, which is a plus for me. The map felt too much like a theme park rather than a real island.

Jump 1 mm higher than the default height and you lose all your stam... At least reinforced tendons is a worthy pick now

If you're vomiting you can choose which nutrient you would rather lose over the other two. It's a tradeoff to get rid of sickness faster.

I dont like the new east plains (or east forest). So difficult to travel and no ones around. I saw a few deinos but i think is just for the novelty. When it was the plains it also had a bit of forest and the sanctuary. Such a great place to start.
The only positive ting i think of, is that the east portion of the isle will be empty of players (cause the mayority dont like swamps/forest). So it will be easy to encounter people in the rest of the map.
Like the east section is erased of the game.
I never thought i’d see a fish swallow a baby croc whole… made me feel a sertain way. Idk if its Good or bad. Either way i am now scared of fish as something smaller

I’m so confused I spawn in with a full stomach and low diet slots so there’s no way for me to fill them
it is full to combat the fact that along with the normal food drain, your stomach capacity is also growing, making it less filled faster.
problem is that if you do manage to get alot of diets early on with little food around you will starve due to the rapidly growing stomach capacity and drain from growing
Hopefully the removal of those big domes will increase the fps.
1 big building vs 100 trees, the building would be better for fps.

Deino can drown an adult stego that decides to swim.
Omni packs can take them down by using pounce properly.
Troodon can do the same.
Cerato can do it thanks to vomit lock.
Dilo doesn’t even need to go in for damage for most of the fight.
...and finally...
Dibble can solo a stego pretty easily.
Teno has been able to do it for literally years.
...but no one wants to talk about those two.
Stego is not invincible in the slightest.
it just takes ages to kill, and most people have this mental block that prevents them from trying, so they never learn how to do it.

That's a good question I didn't test that as a parent but when I dropped the egg back on the nest as a raptor I was still able to scent it (I wasn't able to scent eggs in the nest, not sure about rotten ones either)
My question is how tf are u supposed to know if its a mass migration or not, there should be a different icon to encourage people to go to it.... Great video also, u were super fast!
@@alexburke1310 tbh I don't know if that was the regular one or does the mass migration have it's own icon but there weren't any patrol zones either at the same time and I can't manually control MZs as an admin

East plains looks unrecognisable! It looks amazing! I was hoping for a more inland swamp!

@MaximusProxi I'm sure they'll be more open plains eventually. But a diverse map adds significantly more variety. Compared to old east plains, it's a MASSIVE improvement. If you want pvp, just go to consistent hotspots?
@@novaharts6608 variety ? The map is 75% jungle at that point. I'm not the king of people who absolutely praise for more plain, but more biome diversity wouldn't hurt (redwood ?)
@canardcyaneus6084 That's exactly what I've said. More diversity would benefit the map. Updating East Spawn to a more swampy marshland/ wetland helps with that. I think the majority of the map being jungle was more then 99.9% a place holder with the odd mix around when the map first dropped they've done mostly map updates for the last 6 months!

i dont even go in the old swamp due to the incredible amount of cannis and deinos and the terrible vegetation for hunting and they decide to make another swamp lmao why dont they think like that about open fields... only tress everywhere, u cant even walk without seeing leaves on the screen all the time lol not to say about the dinos, the most powerfull ones are herbivores and the only carni that can have a chance cant stay more than 10 minutes outside the water while being super slow and low stamina, i think they forget the most important part of the realism that is the "dinos" dont have a dino brain controlling them and that even those who play in a group sometimes want to play solo which is basically waste of time in this game...
One thing that pisses me of I noticed is for the carnotuarus the ceratosarus is not on the menu wtf dude this game gets good and then it turns to shit

So many bullshit changes. I honestly don’t know where they get off. The devs keep changing shit that DOESN’T need to be changed. Why the fuck are they changing the map when they could be fixing and adding things that need to be fixed and added? Why did they change the diet mechanic? Why’d they get rid of important features of the map?

I'm glad the domes are gone, they were such a waste of space and caused unnecessary choke points. It also slightly increases navigation difficulty, which is a plus for me. The map felt too much like a theme park rather than a real island.
So we starve faster and still need to wait 5 mins for stamina to replenish? Alright see you next update.

I love how cera’s bite has been reduced by 50%!!!! And still it nearly fills a full stomach fully grown utah. So basically with the food draining faster its had no debuff because most people are going to be struggling to fill their stomachs. And then after getting bit and throwing up your in an even worse position because of the drain.
I worked it out yesterday and after healing off a cera bite i had 3 minutes to find food before it went red. 3MINUTES!!!! Fighting ceras is just pointless now unless your in a big pack its not worth the fight.
