Man this was my family spot so many memories my grandma would catch the bus to mall almost every week ! That food court use to be so amazing the playground was amazing I remembering it having a McDonald’s , Panda Express and a Chic fila at one point , the last movie I seen there was paranormal activity 4 and that was my last time there in 2012 😫!

Back when I was in my teens my BF & I would go hangout there. Go see a movie. We HAD to stop in Spencers Gifts to look at the crap they had there, plus I got my ear pierced there in my 20's. Then I would go to The Tinder Box & get some tobacco, for my pipe. Lots of good memories there, too bad the "bad elements" started going there, and fucked it up.

I worked in this mall from 1986 to 1990 at the Sears store. It was thriving back then. The art installations and water fountains were peaceful and cool, not to mention all the trees, vines, and flowers around the fountains. This mall should have been demolished years ago and the space used for something that gives back to the community.

There's a very good reason why this Mall and others like it failed and it has nothing to do with finance, business or how the property was run. If I have to tell you what really killed Jamestown Mall and others like it then you need to study the local culture and the people who make up that culture. It's as plain as the nose on your face.
