Makueni By-Election

A political rally by members of the Jubilee Alliance which was scheduled to take place on Monday afternoon in Wote Town in Makueni County was indefinitely called off after irate youth wreaked havoc. Hundreds of youth chanting pro-Mutula Kilonzo Junior slogans stormed Unoa grounds, the venue of the rally with an aim of disrupting the meeting. Police had to intervene before the rally was called off to avert a clash between supporters of the two rival coalitions.
