What the big 12 is doing is a good idea. How the rest of the conferences react will depend on how much more money each school gets from the deal but I can definitely see all conferences taking note. NIL and athletes just became more expensive so I can see the SEC and B1G exploring this option to cover some of those costs but offering a MUCH smaller stake for the naming rights initially.

There will never BE a super conference. The B1G/SEC plus some ARE the super conference.
They're trying to get CF were it's going to be more competitive, more exciting games every week. If this happens people will be in front of their TV all day on Saturday

No, SEC cannot buy the Big 12 naming rights. That only furthers the distance that SEC and B1G already have.
How? Technically, the sec would have less money(paying) and the big12 or whatever it would be called would have more money. Lol

How very sad! College football is dying. For me, the SEC and the Big 10 are trash brands that have reached their peak and are now swirling down the toilet. The perspective of two dominant athletic conferences is intolerable and in violation of antitrust laws. So, if you think for a moment that the fans outside the SEC and Big 10 are going to tolerate having the SEC and Big 10 as the only college football conferences in the United States, you are wrong. When the Big 12 falls, if it does fall, our next step as fans is to make this a political issue where the United States Congress gets involved which can cause severe repercussions with media rights, sponsorship, student loans, research grants / partnerships, and the like. Thus, the end of college football will likely come due to the arrogance of SEC and Big 10 fans and their commissioners / media rights. Right now, we still have a student loan crisis of more than $1.5 trillion of unpaid student loans. Perhaps, the only way out of this trap is through the media rights with athletic conferences. After all, do you want to foot the bill on your taxes because you will if there is not an alternative way to pay for it? Do you really have enough to pay for the student loan crisis?
If it wasn’t for Blaine I might actually subscribe to this channel. The guy is a lump that just sits there and lets his brother make his living for him and then every so often decides to interject with some ridiculous moral high ground stance about how the SEC would NEVER. I guarantee if/when the SEC decides to do something similar he’ll be singing the SEC’s praises and stroking himself to Greg Sankey’s business “acumen”.

Actually, I'm behind that I would be curious to see if it actually would go through. Pornhub comes with $2B in buying naming rights, the Big 12 would take that in a heartbeat.
PornHub would rather not be represented by the limp richard schools that make up the B12.
