Noticed a case where turning on the car using remote key fob does not turn on the blind spot monitoring alerts. Is that expected? Does the driver then have to turn off and turn on the engine to activate the blind spot monitoring?
Bad design is an understatement. If your key fob battery dies they expect you to have a soft cloth and flathead screwdriver on your person to access it.

I’ve never gotten the remote start to work
I came here for the same reason. I'll go back and first pressing the lock button, then holding the Hold button as demonstrated here
@@otm777Do u press the lock button first? Took a couple of tries to get sequence right, and now is reliable.
The way you have to open this key to get the key out of the fob and then get it in the door behind the handle is an overall bad design.
