  • On August 2021, I went to Menorca, in the Balearic Islands, Spain, to the village of Fornells, to dive in the marine reserve del Norte for 8 days.
Menorca is a fascinating island, a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 1993, with 60% of its territory classified as a protected area. The Norte Marine Reserve is exceptional: its fauna is varied and abundant, with large schools of barracudas, groupers, octopus and a massive presence of nudibranchs which demonstrates the excellent quality of the waters. Above all, the underwater geology is of great beauty, made up of drop-offs that slide gently to the shallow depths in the immediate vicinity of the island - it is rare to go below 35 metres.
In this video, the most beautiful dive spot in Menorca : la llosa des patro pere, which is located in the reserve. It starts with a natural toboggan going to the 35 meters. Stunning fauna, with groupers, a very big group of barracudas, nudibranchs...
    Enjoy !
