Been an Ableton user for many years now and have never looked back. The last update implemented vocal comping which was a huge gain. Workflow was the key for me.
Ableton Live thrives in using midi and arranging parts. I feel in love with it for that reason. I originally got into it because I wanted to use if for backing tracks/click for church and just fell in love with the workflow when making my own parts. Prolly wouldn't use it for actual full band recordings though, idk. Maybe if they were already finished and I was just rearranging and mixing like you did in this.
Try Bitwig! Its made by former abelton employees so it has many of the principles and ideas from abelton. They offer a fully featured unlimited time demo you just cant save any projects or export anything. So you can try it for as long as you want and try every feature. I'd highly highly recommend it for you since you really liked abelton. Bitwig is an amazing middle ground between something like cubase and studio one, and abelton.
I've seen what Ableton can do over the years, it can easily handle over 80 tracks. But now best of both worlds, it and Cubase for me. For most clients who send me music, it's usually less than 30 tracks per song, but Ableton does well with it. I have a work flow in Ableton, that I know and trust, but going into Cubase just gets the work done, seems much easier tbo. When you find something that works for you, it may not work for others but that's the beauty of personal design.
Damn DAWs really cause nightmares hah. What is your personal opinion Ableton Live 11 Suite or Logic pro x? Maybe add Reaper along Ableton for mixing if needed?
I used Pro Tools and Logic for years but once I went Ableton, there is no going back. Get a Push 2 and you will be in seventh heaven. by the way use the splice bridge plug in from splice it's really handy
I left Ableton for Pro tools artists for sound design and electronic music but i came back to live very quickly... Everything you need is already there, and the slice to drumrack command in Simpler is uncomparable.
I got an idea. Maybe when you try a DAW, just so you get familiar with it more, just use stock plugins so you can compare which DAWs have really good stock plugins.
I produce in Ableton, it’s is the GOAT for that in my opinion but it needs a better audio editing and mixing workflow. I’m still using studio one and pro tools for that reason
Ableton has been a DAW that when you want to do looped based music like Hip hop or edm can be very inspiring. I grew up on the pattern base sequencing when I first got into music. But as I grew into more professional settings this workflow didn't work well to doing vocals or more organic music. You really didn't use Ableton the way most do... which is mixing and matching patterns to create new ideas. And thats where the genius of Ableton really shines. With that said great writing tool, but for your type of work probably the 4th worst daw out there.
Live use for many years here as a HND sound production student I'm forced to work with pro tools. I don't want to be a cry baby but i can not stand Pro tools to be honest..:D
GREAT stuff...Abe Live is supreme (in more ways than one). 🎛🎶🎧💯 However, for the love of heaven, pull up that gray line (just above the fader) to max-out the meter...you're KILLING my OCD! 😱🤣 Keep up the dope tuts!👍🏾 Hymn
Glad you like it! I use Ableton Live for years and fits me just fine for my needs around recording, mixing and mastering.

It’s pretty cool for sure.
I should say I produce, so for what you do it's going to be hard to ever go away from Pro Tools.
For song writing, it’s one of the best, for mixing albums for a living probably not the best choice.
@@emerica5700 Nah. Pro Tools is of course a good option for what he does, but not the only one. However, Live indeed is probably the worst for this.
@@RecordingStudioLoser you should make the switch to ableton live maybe you might find it easier to use
When you are done with this test all quest, you should make a video talking about all of them and your thoughts.
Oh for sure
I use to hate Ableton, but when I try it guys, I love it now
I have been using Ableton for 100 years and I still learned a thing

Recording is pretty good in Live too now. Playlists, comping, all that stuff.

I have worked on almost every DAW but Ableton live is best DAW for music production and audio engineering
Damn DAWs really cause nightmares hah. What is your personal opinion Ableton Live 11 Suite or Logic pro x? Maybe add Reaper along Ableton for mixing if needed?
im still producing in Ableton and mixing in studio one super fun!!!

Thanks for the video king! Does this mean we'll be seeing a take on FL too😯😯
Could you please send a link to this song? It's a killer! Would be interesting to listen to the final mix
It’s still unreleased!
Hi, love it ! Could you please share the name of the artist/band?
All The Daws you have traied witch you thing is better for you, if you whant to change from Pro Tools?
Ableton is the best Daw so far
Do songs from beginning to end on other daws. Tracking and all. On your spare time with friends.
lol spare time.
Jk
But yes that is the hope. I am doing pre pro in other daws but it’s not my material to share on UA-cam.
"Report a crash" - that's how I knew you're in Ableton :D
Jeff Juliano is beast mixer. I was lucky enough to have mix some of my music.

Can you do a video on Harrison MixBus
You can always zoom in and out to fit the display you have so it not very tall like it is
Used protools forever and I'm just afraid to leave her.
isnt splice just a vst that works in anything that supports vst?
Not with full compatibility changing keys tempo
@@RecordingStudioLoser are you sure about that?
It’s on their website… so…
So far… if you moved away from Pro-Tools, where would you go?
Right now? Studio one or cubase. Its a toss up
Good luck with Ableton 😂 😂
You will be testing every software til they kingdom come …….
I’m so ok with that.

I don’t like Ableton it’s clunky.
As a 5 years ableton user I feel you. But if you were to work with sampling different songs and such the sampler is just way too good to ignore
Then u don't know best Daw
Do fl studio next
It’s being edited right now
