Yay, I’m super excited. I know people aren’t sending in grading submissions every week but this is type of video would easily become one of my favorites!
I love the early coppers - I had read somewhere that in the early days the mint recycled copper bands from barrels that had been shipped to the US from Europe - hopefully I have some of these... Thank you Daniel!
Thanks for sharing Daniel ! Some really nice looking Early Coppers there ! I haven't really collected early coppers but watching this video, I just may have to !
Thanks Daniel. Funny how we can tell your excited about what you are going to present on the video. Almost like you can’t wait for us to watch. Well done 👍
I am so excited to see you talking about the two cent piece! I am an avid collector of two cent pieces and look forward to anything else you know or have and would like to share about the two cent pieces. I'll go search your videos now to see what I may have missed. Thanks for all you do for the community.
I like the old large cents. I only have two, an 1814 and 1830. LCS said they aren't worth a lot due to pitting, but to keep them. I enjoy your videos because I learn more with each one. Keep them coming!
Always love to see your submissions. I like old coppers. Only have a few in my collection. Would love to get a 2-cent piece one day. Keep doing what you are doing. You know you put out GREAT content and info almost daily, if not every day. Thank you, Daniel!
I do a lot of metal and I find a lot of stuff I've had some $0.02 pieces and pissed them away I was very young then stupid you might say and I found another one I will send it to you as a gift
I remember when you first started doing UA-cam videos Daniel It’s crazy to see you almost have 150k subscribers. I got out of collecting after my first kid was born almost 3 years ago I’m slowly getting back into it now. Keep up the good work you’re doing buddy. 😊
For very old copper coins they have a lot a details in them I love the silver peace dollar I have a few myself one 1896 P that’s very beautiful I’m glad I can look back at the videos you have to help me out thank you for you’er service to the coinhelpu world ❤
This was a fun video. It was really nice to see how the different coins were graded and how the grade affected the values. Definitely a great video for a beginner to watch! Thanks, Daniel!
Thanks for the video! A cleaned coin to me is a ruined coin and I stare clear no matter what.....there is enough stuff out there where I can stay away from a cleaned coin. I refer to your channel and videos often. Love the content. Thanks so much from Boston!
Nice group of coins! Those early coppers were much easier to find 50 years ago. The 1796 half cent,1799,1804,1823 large cents were fairly expensive when I bought them. Now they are crazy expensive! Buying these old coppers in AG condition would be nothing to be ashamed of even for some of the less expensive ones.
I've got a 1865 2 cent piece in excellent condition and would probably grade high, the WE is still visible and I just love the coins!!!! Early copper is amazing!!!!!
Large cents and Half Cents are so interesting, great grades for them Daniel! The 1909 S VDB was cool as well, I once had the opportunity to hold one that was graded AU55, such a cool piece of history! Keep up the great content!
That’s a very impressive coin collection. Thank you for reigniting my curiosity to search my old coins. I still have some from the early 1900’s, except my prized ‘21 Morgan hs. graduation present from my dad.
I like seeing coins like this go into holders even if in lower grades because of the lower mintages involved. It is important to make sure authentic and an opinion from the grading company on if a coin is cleaned or not is important for both buyers and sellers to come together on a fair price and both parties can feel like that have been treated fairly.
Thanks for posting, I have so much copper coins didn’t know they might have value. Another thing thank for been a straight shooter, I know you might hurt some feelings but you tell the truth.
Nice returns brother! Along with this channel, I have about 8 others concerning numismatics etc that I subscribe to. I believe I've been subscribed to this channel for at least 5years min. It's been really Kool to see all of you grow and expand your viewer base over the years. To see the many gurus I subscribe to, getting to know each other, sharing and combing content amongst yourselves is especially satisfying and helps to galvanize the fellowship of the numismatic community. Thanks !! Peace🙏🕉️
Daniel, this is the cream of the crop! I wish I would've started earlier w/these early coins! But it didn't take all that long, and I got started w/the colonel Ellsworth, east coast king of coppers! As u know, he served as pres-2 terms for the ANA! I was able to to acquire several pieces from him! But my best ever pawn shop buy was 1811 1/2ct for $35 and graded extf-40! Whata u think Daniel? Good stuff? Please keep on bringing it!
Those are some nice early copper coins, I sent 2 of my nicer ones out too even though they were damaged slightly for protection as well. I inherited 2 more from my grandparents but were already corroded so badly you can barely make out any details. Those I still have in 2x2 holders, one is 1/2 cent maybe 1808 hard to make out last digit, other is 1 cent also draped bust by the look of the design that is still visible but can't really make the date out anymore. They may have been ground finds from my grandmother as she loved to garden and often would be living in older built homes here in PA.
I just found an 1844 over 81 kinda rough. Thanks for showing us some grades. Im trying to decide if sending it off is worthwhile. Thanks for the info Daniel
I love the old coppers (pre 1858) I am always hesitant on purchasing a red, or red brown large cent, half cent, or two cent. I worry it's going to go full brown on me 😂 I personally like really nice chocolate brown examples 🤓
Amazing Submission, I’m setting up a 15 Coin Submission to ANACS MYSELF. #1 on the list 1842 seated liberty one dollar coin, outstanding condition for her age !!
Nice grades Daniel! I love early coppers and had a couple family heirlooms slabbed for protection. Both came back details, but I don't care. Thankfully, early coppers is an area where a details coin isn't just considered a total loss. But just having them slabbed helps give me that piece of mind that I'll be a good custodian for them while in my care.
These videos are really fun. I really enjoy your channel. As I progress through my coin collecting journey, I always seem to find videos relating to the coins and topics that interest me. Some channels have quantity. Some quality. Yours has both :)
My favorite are the 1802 Large Cent, VF Brown, 1921D Walking Liberty Half Dollar, F12, 1799 Draped Bust Dollar, VG10, (I think that is my favorite), and the 1926D Peace Dollar, MS62. The only coin showing I have is the 1921D Walking Liberty graded by PCGS as G04 problem free, and it has unique markings that shows up in PCGS Tru-Vue, and that 1921D was a completion to my Walking Liberty collection of 23 years, due to receiving an inheritance.
The old coppers are great, and you're right about hard to grade accurately. The last type set I sold was mostly raw coins in 2x2 cardboard holders. I took a beating on most of them as I just didn't know enough when I bought them. I'd say that grading coppers is still a weak spot for me. I've looked at some of the older videos, but I think it's better for me to look for a copper graded by PCGS, NGC, or ANACS. I'll have piece of mind, and it will simplify things for my hiers if they want to sell my collection.
I metal detect W.V. I find more State coppers than early U.S. coins. I also find more King George coppers than U.S. coins. I need to pull them back out and at least attempt to grade and value them. I do have a high grade (For state coppers) 1788 Connecticut. Looking at reference books there's like 20 different varieties. Recent find is a 1865 2 cent piece. Love finding the old coppers.
I just found a 1850 O seated Liberty Dime in my old change from the basement! The back is in excellent condition, the front is worn, but you can see the date and all the details. I looked it up and there is only around 500,000 minted! I have no idea what it’s worth
i would send some of these coins to CAC which would enhance their value especially the 1914 d. the walkers and the 1799 dollar look like good candidates also. think about it daniel.
Just remembered I wanted a 2 cent coin. I went from 3cent to half dime and forgot I need a 2 cent. Never thought much/ realized the older copper were getting graded also.

You have become my #1 coin mentor! I love your channel!
Thank you!
Daniel, I subscribe to different Facebook coin sites but I always come back to yours. No politics just coins. Thanks.
Yay, I’m super excited. I know people aren’t sending in grading submissions every week but this is type of video would easily become one of my favorites!
Thanks for the eye candy, Daniel! Love those old coppers. Still enjoying that worn 1857 Half Cent. Wish I could afford more of them.
Loved seeing the old copper. Thank you for sharing a bit of history with us.
I love the designs of our older coins. Especially the silver. Thank you and congratulations.
Nice to see some of those old copper and high grade coins. I really just enjoy the history of those old ones.
Nice sharing Daniel 🌷😊👍❤️
I love the early coppers - I had read somewhere that in the early days the mint recycled copper bands from barrels that had been shipped to the US from Europe - hopefully I have some of these... Thank you Daniel!
Those are some nice coins. A great addition to anyone's collection. Thanks for sharing, Daniel.
Love seeing these old coins
Thanks Daniel! Submitted a dozen coins at ANACS last week at ANA in Pittsburgh. Looking forward to my own reveal in about 6 weeks or so. Exciting!!!
GREAT EDUCATION as always Daniel!! Congrats on your grades!!!
Thanks for sharing Daniel ! Some really nice looking Early Coppers there ! I haven't really collected early coppers but watching this video, I just may have to !
Thanks for sharing these, I enjoyed the older ones. Congrats on the 1914- D as well!
I only have one, yes, just one old copper in my collection. One area I am woefully inadequate in. I love seeing these. Thanks for sharing Daniel!

Copper coins must be hard to get. They are still so beautiful and historic!
I had a 1794 about at Alabama gold refinery race started and done very well I like your shell by the way I've learned a lot from you

Love the coins! ESP the 1914d
Enjoy your videos
Great Coins! Do you go out of your way looking for raw coins to submit, or do you just send things in that come through the door?
Both
Like the 1802 Large Cent.
i would send some of these coins to CAC which would enhance their value especially the 1914 d. the walkers and the 1799 dollar look like good candidates also. think about it daniel.
The 1797, one over one is interesting.
Solid.
SALUDOS DESDE GUANATOS MEX...EXITO.
I may need those Walkers. 🤔
Call us.
Great coins I like the 14 d
Just remembered I wanted a 2 cent coin. I went from 3cent to half dime and forgot I need a 2 cent. Never thought much/ realized the older copper were getting graded also.
I've got 2 of the 2 cent coins, 1865, 1867 I would consider getting rid of in very nice condition if you are interested.
Like seeing quality. How long did pcgs take to do the submission?
Normal time. Just under two months total. Business days.
Were they dug up? Environmentally damaged are acceptable now at PCGS years ago I was refused grading on early copper ?
I guess
I watch your videos and I like them you've been very helpful to me I'm new to the game I wish you would help me some more
I am originally from Ohio now living in Florida and cannot find coin shows in my area where could I seek some information on that ???
Use Google or coinzip.com
What is price on 1799 buster dollar?
