You know, as a college instructor, I often say, "How hard can it be?". Then I look around and get my answer. (It really isn't that hard!) Thanks for taking the time to respond. Please tell Alina, from an absolute aviation geek, as you can tell by my logo, I love to watch all your videos. Thanks.@@williamh.scottv438
If the weather is hot, stay hydrated on long cross country flights. I use a hydration back pack with a drinking tube so you can drink hands free. Its sits between your shoulder blades with the drink tube over your shoulder, also acts like a small cushion! (not teaching you to suck eggs you may carry water already!) Great to see that 360 view of SC. Very beautiful scenery.😎👍
Hello Alina and family. I'm from across the ocean and really enjoy watching your flights. I think the idea of the 3D camera is really great. You managed to get even me, an old man (51), excited about flying, even though I don't think I'll get another pilot's license. Here in Germany the flight rules and requirements are also a bit stricter when it comes to safety precautions, as you can imagine. But I always enjoy seeing you fly and I also think it's great how your father watches over your technology on board your Aeroflight plane and makes sure everything works perfectly. You can just see how proud he is and how the spark from his hobby has spread to you. I hope you and your father will take many more flights and have a lot of fun with your hobby. So that in the end you will always safely touch the ground. Kind regards, Andreas
This is the best interactive video that I have ever seen ... and you Alina are so cool and your dad is the best ... my favorite flying video ... ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
This video is more reality like than i have seen before. Thanks Dad for setting this up. The view almost gave me vertigo ! Takes me back to my weightshift flying days. Amazing. Much gratitude.
I love flying having had my first flight, aged 14 in a glider while on a student exchange in Germany. I next flew back in the UK in a glider and went solo age 16 ( back then that was the minimum age to fly solo). I eventually enlisted into the RAF in 1982 and started flying gliders seriously re soloing and later taking the Bronze C award ( involved written exams and practical flying tests ). I stopped flying on VC10s of the RAF when I left the service but resumed again earlier this year and went solo again yesterday. Love watching your videos.
Hello Mr.Scott I have been following Alina's flights through UA-cam. I am amazed at Alina's courage, determination and enjoyment of flying. The flight between SC-65 and KOSH was a pleasant adventure for her thanks to her father's support. I would like to have the route executed from SC-65 to KOSH, informing the support runways as I intend to make this flight in Flight Simulation with a Kolb Firefly ultralight. Health, peace and good flights.
The years thunder by, The dreams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed. Sterling Hayden , Keep following your Dreams and fly Safe!
You are most welcome Sir. Sterling Hayden's book WANDER is inspiring. He took his children and their teachers on a years long voyage across the Pacific on a 100 foot sailing yacht. One day Alena will remember the awesome advantages her parents gave her. Thank you for sharing her success.
I joke when I say "recurrent" training. In the jet world you have to go back once a year to make sure you are still a good pilot. But in her case, there are no such requirements from the FAA. I have requirements like for her first flight of the day she must make 2 low "hops" without leaving the runway which is similar to a "run-up" in a certified airplane. She hadn't flown in a month so prior to either of these VR videos she spent some time getting back into the swing of things by going back and forth down the runway only fast enough to hold the front wheel off the ground. Also. The plane had to be repaired from some minor damage that occurred during transport back from Airventure. So these taxi tests, and low hops were effectively operational checks.
Didn't appreciate, until this video, that Alina's pressing of her right ear was communicating with the ground. That explains it. Made clear through this vid. Thanks. Not tried the VR goggles yet. People in DCS VR flight sim say it's a game changer. Regards from indian summer like Cornwall, England. From what I gather flap control on this craft is overhead, is that the case? Haven't seen any use of flaps at all, if I'm being honest. Is it conditions that decide or personal preference? Cheers.
Super birds eye view. Alina great job flying and enjoying play/play pre-flight, taxing and take-offs/landings. What brand of helmet are you wearing? Mr. Scott, keep Alina flying and toning in on your flying skills. She's a natural and taking to flying extremely well.
It more a function of which radio we are using. For long distance flights (where I can't see her) we used the ANR headsets (less noise/fatigue) with Bluetooth (so I could call her cell when out of radio range) and with normal air band type plugs so she could talk with other airplanes when she was entering and exiting the traffic pattern. When we are flying at home and going nowhere, we use a 2m radio. It's better than the air band radio by a lot. I don't know why...I think air band might be AM and the 2m might be FM but I'm no expert in that department. It's not fussy about antenna placement, and its easier to set up and take down. I haven't found a way to connect the 2m radio to the ANR headsets and get the yoke mounted ptt to work so we just use the helmet that has a built in PTT in the ear piece. From a safety point of view, when you consider the most probable accidents minus the ones where no amount of safety equipment will help, I think the helmets contribution to her safety is minimal while increasing risk slightly in other areas. I have found some people who very passionately disagree with me but I ultimately i need to choose what I think is best for her. I don't think she really minds one way or the other.
Dad , it would be a good thing rather than just sit in the cockpit and let dad do all the work maybe it would be a good thing for her to learn to maintain her own aircraft.😜
I have picked up on the straps' smacking my face 'that buckel is designed to keep the shoulder straps from separation 'and her upper body slipping thru.if done up the flapping part would have been shorter and probably not bother her .in part 2 the buckel has disappeared , i hope not cut off.
Congrats Dad, She is an excellent pilot !!!!
So much fun watching her. Great vid 👍
I love Alina's videos, especially the 360s. What an unbelievable pilot she is. You go girl!
I agree. The 360s are really cool especially if you have VR goggles. They get mixed reviews because most people can't figure out how to view them.

That is outstanding, a 360 degree interactive view for us , very neat.👍🏻
Those are awesome videos, Alina you have a very special Dad. Remain focused on his instruction and stay safe. You are blessed with a wonderful talent.

Hey Alina! New to the channel ! You’re so Awesome and inspirational!! Loving the channel and riding along with you’re journey!!
Fantastic 360 and a great pilot

Alina has some VR goggles... watching it on those really gives you that pucker.
Love the new 360 setup! And I didn’t know you could make it virtual like this ! So Awesome! And very glad to see you wearing a helmet!!
Fantastique view. Tks for nice video. Best Regards.
Learning to fly is a serious business but should also be enjoyed at the same time. You seem to be managing that, well done.

That's a squared away Dad right there 👍
To stay current on her requirements, how often does she fly ??

@@williamh.scottv438 It's a sensible policy though. As the caring father you obviously are you want to minimise the risks to Alina's safety.
I love it! Thanks! ❤

can you add pilot audio to these you tube videos?
Wow love the 360 control 🇦🇺😊

hy Alina am from Indonesia saya mau tanya jenis pesawat apa yang kamu pakai
Aerolite 103
Great 👍👍👍❤❤❤
Is there a way to trim out your aircraft or is it just not needed?
There is no trim and it's not needed.
Yes the sky pretty black in the background.
With 360 view, in my tablet the definition is much lower, no problem though. What’s the plan for currency in the wintertime? Will she fly the Cessna?
Sometimes in the settings of you tube you can force it to a higher resolution. This is still new to me as well.
Hi ALINA YOU ARE THE BEST I WISH I CAN FLY WITH YOU ,WHEN CAN YOU COME TO VANCOUVER
Your runway doesnt look natural? Did you have to pretty much fill alot to get it to where it is?
Not a lot in this area is as nature made it. Probably fill but I wasn't here when it was built.
Alina you did Oshkosh with no helmet , now back to wearing one , what influenced that decision? How do you feel about it ?

Are the parachutes worth the trouble?
I don't think so. She doesn't have one.
360 top 😍
nice 👍
Extremely blurry for me...
If your internet connection isn't so good it may default to a lower resolution.
Nice Video...What camera did you use ?
Gopro 360
Can you do an equipment video tour
That would be interesting
👍👍👍
What a Beautiful Airfield. Can anyone fly into this Airfield, if so, where is this located.
Its private. SC65
What kind of plane is this ? Maker and model
Aerolite 103
Dad , it would be a good thing rather than just sit in the cockpit and let dad do all the work maybe it would be a good thing for her to learn to maintain her own aircraft.😜
I'm teaching her a little at a time.
👍
Blurry for me too .

👍👋
CC Alina vos vidéos sont très jolie vous êtes une pilote très doué ce qui ce passe au n'est pas très intéressant filmer seulement en vol 😤🤔😔👍🍺
Some will find it interesting and I guess some won't. After she's all grown up I'll be able to watch them again and smile.
