    I love when people show they learned from their past issues. It's not a perfect world the the internet tries to have you believe and the guys who are learning by doing are the ones you want to go to. Great video!

    Always enjoy watching what you have to share.
    Off topic, but have you guys seen interesting differences between the GE and the GTE cylinder heads? If so would you guys be willing to share what you guys have learned?

    Another great video. I still need to pack up my 2JZ head to send out to you. Should be real soon like going to work on that this weekend.

    Great video, love the bit where you are honest and show you learned from previous issues and put them right 🙌🏻
    Will you be doing any 4G63 tear down inspection videos?

    • @headgames
      @headgames  2 роки тому +1

      YES! we need to do that soon! We do a lot of 4G's, but honestly they rarely come back.

      @@headgames Even giving some advice would be appreciated on some known issues, enlarging head stud washers, ticking lifters etc.

    We rev this motor to about 9500 rpm with a 9800 red line.

    Is there a reason you don't use oversize intake valves? I noticed it seems like you go to oversized exhaust before intake and was wondering it there is a benefit to going to +1 intake as well?

    • @headgames
      @headgames  Рік тому +2

      we don't usually favor one side to the other. We actually don't use an oversized valve much at all. In some heads it simply doesn't fit on the seat correctly and although an oversized valve does flow better, they only flow better from .350 lift on. So if the cam is not much bigger than we stick to stock size.

      @@headgames that's interesting, I knew there had to be a reason especially when you're making 1600 with stock size they have to work pretty well 👍

    hey mate im building a 2j as we speak a lot of people have been saying its not worth porting a 1j/2j head i ported my head and lots say so much work not worth the gain

    • @headgames

      depends on your WHP goals. If you are making 1200+whp there is over 100whp in the head. Might make the same peak power, but will make more through out the curve. But, also depends on who is porting it, some shops make it a detriment more than a gain by how big they make the head. I will say, we have never had a customer say they wish they didn't get their head ported. Because we don't just sell a ported head to anyone. Those who can benefit will get it, those that won't go into another one of our packages. A valve job and pocket port alone is worth 30-40cfm. There is no way that is not worth some power!

      @@headgames would be an awesome video if you would to show the difference between a stock head vs a ported head showing the gain and the power curves on a wheel dyno or an engine dyno

      @@123chrispapa man that would be awesome! The before and after stuff happens so seldom as we are usually apart of a build vs an upgrade. But, certainly something to keep in mind.
