Dang, I'm glad I'm not they only one who wished this would happen. In the last game where they both teamed up to investigate, I realized how badly I wanted them to team up in court. Seemed like there is so much you can do with that concept... or at least be better than having Maya put on trial for the 100th time. (sersly, do something different Capcom)
