I have a question, the command createUVcurve and UnrollSrf are both ok right to flat a surface? It does not reflect changes in the final result..?

unroll only apply to the flat surface or polysurface. it cannot apply to the doubly curve surface like sphere. I have a video discuss the difference at ua-cam.com/video/L2dYFw-4GLY/v-deo.html

Thank you so much for this tutorial! How do I scale just the one edge? I tried Scale1D but it scales the whole rectangle proportionately
If you have Gumball. Hold the Ctrl+Shift and select one edge.
How do I apply text like your "CHEN" if my model is a mesh and not a surface?
you may "quad remesh" it to Subd and back to Nurbs, then rebuild the surface.

What about the top letters, having a draft angle for printing/casting. Is that an issue if they are straight?
You can always flow the curve instead of solid and extrude tapper with preferred draft angle
Hey pj I used the command to flow a menorah to do a Boolean difference but the Boolean failed any reason why it happened all surfaces are closed and the extrusion intersects
are the seamof the parts aligned?

You don't need Rhino for laser engraving. Adobe Illustrator can do it.
is it possible to 3d print this? Along with the colours.
once you boolean all parts together, you can export stl for 3D printing
