They really had the theme perfect in the first volume. The other volumes were excellent and had better worldbuilding, deeper and richer character story -- but Infection had the feel nailed down. It was a masterful execution of using the story direction and gameplay to build up an enemy for the entire game. He was an unstoppable monster. No remorse. No emotion. He was simply the terror of death. And his fight built on that theme too. Every single attack he had brought your party to its knees. Even if you got a couple extra levels. Even if you brought every defensive and offensive buff in the game. You were always one hit away from death. Honestly, I feel like Skeith is probably why the other phases of Morganna seem like such a pushover. Once you knew you could kill them, they no longer posed a threat. Hindsight 2020, Skeith should have escaped and been the gatekeeper for Corbenik. What a boss fight.
@@bloodyidit4506 Skeith's biggest issue is that since he was the only humanoid one he could actually physically hit you when you got into melee range and that attack was the major threat there. The other phases could only do a general shockwave stomp which didn't hurt nearly as bad.
So... when I was playing Elden Ring in online co-op, a boss' animations stopped due to lag, and the boss was just. Skating toward me.... It gave me flash backs to this boss, and the other 8 Phases.... Seriously, this series has aged oddly well in retrospect. The 8 Phases animations might be minimalistic because the server is freaking out in universe, and lagging monsterously bad, due to them being... well, outside of "The World"'s normal programming.... God I wish these games would get a remaster/remake....
Likely bad news. Looked further into that and it doesn't seem that countdown is anything legit for .hack. I'll probably still just watch and see regardless, but expecting massive disappointment is back on the menu.
@@NerdOnGaming because The World version 1....the characters wasnt to powerfull. besides....they werent adept rogues and the rengeky sistem wasnt in that time. in that time Haseo was in coma(her older username was Sora in that game...he was a Skeith victim too but saved Aura in the past when she was a young child. with that action, Sora amended his past as a player killer and Helped Tsukasa and the rest of her friends to escape. Skeith after he was defeated by Keith, was captured by CCCorp and waited for old sora player return. CCcorp predicted Ryuji will come back to The World...because...he had a conection with Skeith in the past.
@@NerdOnGaming Because the first series tried hard to really make it feel like an offline MMORPG, which was not exactly well received at the time. GU was a more straightforward action RPG. The first series's gameplay is based around careful party use and micromanaging everything and even the party members who aren't Kite have critical roles to play some even able to do more damage than he can. GU is based around Haseo comboing everything to death, with party members being there for chip damage and healing only, Haseo is basically the only character that matters in battle.
I remember when I got this and was at this part. I was mad overleveled because I just kept going to areas killing everything even tho I was only getting 1 exp. Back when games were fun 😢
Back when I memorized all the fire spells and spammed Vak Don just for the fun of it and for the Legend of the Twilight bracelet reference. I high key miss this series. I hope they do a remaster and bring back the online part through consoles and PC, have us create characters with classes of our own choosing. Shit would sell.
I was like 13 or something when this game came out. Around one of the best times of my life. IIRC I didn't have too much of a hard time with Skeith but in the beginning of Outbreak right before Balmung joins your team I found it pretty difficult.
When I first got to this fight, I though I had to lose, because he was so strong, at this point I've played all 4 volumes, it's a great series, I love it :)
Hahaha, when i first played this game i had no idea how to play it and always died in the dungeon, This game is a masterpiece but the graphic and difficulty makes it less popular 😄
this is the first time a boss/final boss that made me rage quit when i was a teen and the farthest i got in fighting skeith was its data drain. oh the memories🤣
The originally quadrilogy could get an HD remake and it would be great. Though a full remaster with some enhanced gameplay might be even better. Mash X simulator and all.
@@falcedacciaiothats what all devs say, no dev team ever reuses the old code again when remastering or hding a game, look at the kh hd series, same deal but it exists
About that really only Skeith and Maha from Quarantine are the hardest ones to kill at lv 99 in Maha's case she has a full Charm/Confusion attack one that even if you have a 100% RESIST of that status effect won't help you that move has a 100% hit rate so it NEVER fails and even at lv 99 you'll easily kill your own party while its still in effect.
I had hard time fighting this boss the first time playing this game too, i had to idea about looting and the battle system, i thought it was a bug or something that shield doesn't wear off
“I’m not inflicting damage!”
“Great! Thanks!”

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
Skeith was the hardest of the eight phases.
They wanted you to know the phases were a big deal. Skeith however was basically a superboss compared to the rest of them lol

Skeith is death epithet,he's ment to be hard

Yeah this game is great but the graphic and the gameplay kinda suck, a remake would be amazing with the graphic like hack gu
Dothack's website has a countdown going on, so I'm wondering what's possibly gonna happen in about 100 days.
@Xodreev Wait what? If that's true.... I'm looking forward to that.
Yeah i just see it right now, i wonder if it is true, just wait and see, wishing for the remastered of the Quadrology

Sheesh, probably the quickest kill I've seen of Skeith on youtube. Guess running double Twin Blades + Staccato is big numbers.
Agreed, twin blades has great skill which deals a lot of damage that makes the shield comes down quickly
I HAD SUCH A DIFFICULT TIME WITH THIS FIGHT BACK IN MY CHILDHOOD
Me too 🤣
Same
Just gotta hit it with everything.
Back when games were fun and difficult
if you play this scene in japanese Aura screams when she gets data drained. Also it is possible to beat Skieth without him data draining you once.
Hardest boss in the entire series. So many game overs. I was just a kid though. Wish they remaster this on the switch or ps5.
True i always wondered how come the first series always the hardest

I feel that the first series of all game is kinda more difficult than the sequel
not entirely sue what's going on but it' intriguing :o Reminds me of quite a few things. Pretty dark and eery for a game of this style.
Hahaha it’s an old game, not sure if many people know this game, thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@NerdOnGaming :) I love seeing things like this honestly, would never get to otherwise so thankyou. Was a pleasure!

WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME KOUSHIRO VOICES KITE IN ENG???

I took my stage name from this character 😂😂 because he was so menacing.
fantastic my friend
Even if you used cheat codes to hack the game FOR a LV 99 party Skeith can and still WILL easily kill even a lv 99 party.
