I 've left my heart in Polynesia. 51 days in paradise. PORA PORA TAHITI MOOREA FAKARAVA TIKEHAU RANGIROA MANIHI. The best days of my life. I ' il be back some day. 🤗HERE POREINETIA. IAORANA E MAURURU.🤙🤙💛💚💙
@@garyranieri3856 I lived there for awhile way back in 1973. A different place then, but the heart is still there. As to your question, Dany is throwing out some Tahitian. The first is a list of islands (I think he meant to write "Bora Bora", not "Pora Pora"). "Ia Orana" means "Hello", "E" = "and", and "Maururu" is "thank you." You probably know some Tahitian yourself, if you've ever had the drink "Mai tai", which means simply, "very good". Tahitian is not complicated, but all the Polynesian languages (which are closely related) rely on pronouncing the same spellings different ways, since they use few consonants. My favorite was always the name of the airport in Papette (capital of French Polynesia), which is "Faaa". It's pronounced "Fah-ah-ah"...each letter in Tahitian (unlike, say, Hawaiian) is pronounced separately.
