Thank you Wayne, your work has been a real inspiration to me. Had there never been an Electro Lumens P7 maglite, there might not have been any Adventure Sport/Lumencraft ones either!
I had one of Wayne's lights in the early Aughts. IIRC 3x3(4?) AA in 'D' holders, powering 3 LED, I'm thinking 3W bleeding edge 😲.
Battery & LED technology has LEPt (ouch) since then.
Wayne, I have your old Firesword. Did you sell the rights to Google?

I think the Google flashlight has earned a special place in flashlight history. However, having already watched Adam's video I was a little annoyed that only last year he thought that it's still a extremely powerful flashlight. It has been well surpassed many, many times over.
It's the curse of being a flashlight enthusiast, you cringe at the common man's knowledge of flashlights.

First thing I thought about when I saw the beamshots was my K1 SBT90.2 and how much more powerful it was.
It's still quite bright. Sure, modern lights are way brighter, but that thing still puts out way more light than what you can get most places.

PS: I recently got a Klarus EP10 V2 from Amazon, and am impressed with it for price-to-quality, and its single-button strobe mode. Almost an EDC, if it had a clip.

WOW! I got the alert on my phone that you posted a new video, I thought great now I need a new phone it's clearly malfunctioning. I even restarted it. Lol I have heard these story's about the Google flashlight I have a Imalent MS18 which is fun. I wonder how the Google compares. I have looked on occasion for a Google for sale and haven't found one to add to my collection. I have numerous Ledlenser in my collection and I have to say the Ledlenser H19R Signature head lamp is the best and brightest even though it is expensive it may very well be the actual brightest headlamp. It should get Honorable mention on your list I use mine nightly. Great to see you!

Hey Matt, great video, been subbed for a while, and always wondered why you don't have any Hanklights on your "recommended" list? Back when I subbed to you (last year some time) I only had a d4v2, now I have a K1, K1R, K9.3, D4v2 UV mule, Skilhunt H04, Convoy C8+, Convoy L6. If I go out and about, I always carry a d4v2 and K9.3, they're my "go-to" EDC.
Anyway, thanks for the video, it was super interesting and I'd imagine quite a few collectors would be pining for that light, not so much for the use, but simple for the story.
Thanks. There are actually a lot of lights I would "recommend" that are not on the list. All of the ones on that list are lights I have personally tested. The only one of hanks lights I've had in hand in hand was the noctigon meteor. Based on my experience with hank and other reviews, I have no doubt they are every bit as good as the BLF lights like FW3A and the GTs.
@@Lumencraft- Ah understandable, I've got a bit of an obsession with Hank lights as they're the easiest to get in Australia (aside from convoy) although I'd like to get my hands on a FW3A and for the hell of it an Acebeam W30, though the latter is super expensive.
Anyway, I appreciate the content, thank you for sharing your knowledge
@@Killerjerick The FW** lights often have defective switches that can be dangerous. I've reviewed them all and there's a high fault rate.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Thanks for the heads up, I'll check my switch when I order it, if I notice any defects, I'll see what I can do about resoldering/fixing the switch, if nothing else, I'll store them without the batteries or just do a mechanical lock-out
So what would you say the actual output is? I'm guessing 3000L.
Hey mat, I managed to get one of these lights. Was told to use protected batteries because in series it is dangerous. Is that true or is the circuit they use protected? (assuming it would be for google's safety)
What do you think of the Led Lenser P18R work in comparison?
