From what I've noticed, there are people who got used to loud and fast paced environment due to things in life. They are then not used to hearing soft music and often will find it boring or not that good. Of course, I have no actual research or anything to support my claim, it's just what I've noticed.
You're probably on to something, but it's actually kind of sad that the reason these people don't like this kind of music could be because of how hectic their environment is.

Jazz Hop Cafe is the best. Been listening for at least 2 years now. I especially love your asian beats, like "postcard from japan" and "shinto shrine." Please consider doing more in that style with natural noises (wind, leaves, birds, etc.) they are so relaxing and enjoyable I wish I could put it into words properly.

the city at night/evening is always so beautiful… the way the little apartment blocks light up, amber and glowing. it gives a sense of safety and belonging amongst the chilly air and dim shapes of the shadows. i always wonder about the person inside each of those squares because each one contains a different story and a different life.
even the way the sky spreads out above you is beautiful, purple and blue but the golden yellow is fading, slinking behind the horizon. and the way the clouds spread out, or how some of the stars are just coming into view or the moon is shining brightly- small and far away, but always there and precious.

I'm one of the ones in the city, after living on a mountain overlooking the city for a few years. I just got into this AMAZING downtown townhouse I'm splitting with my friend and partner on rent. The next place we get will be bought, however we have a rooftop third-floor patio we're slowly going to make amazing over the next year. We plan on playing this on a good summer night, when the wind is cool and the warmth of the city rises up.
Keep moving forward buds, you'll find that magical little nook of your own to share.
You can become whoever you want to be. Just don't be lazy. Never give up and never give in. You got this, baby!

Stargazing with good music actually underrated. Something about finding constellations in the sky and wondering about the infinite boundaries Of Space actually made me feel Grounded with a small amount of Enlightenment. I Recommend anyone else to try it one day.

But I also understand your happiness, kindness, compassion and passion for the crap you do, can create a beautiful rainstorm combined with the warmth of a gentle sun, on a level patch of non-irritating grass. But why do I know this? Because it isn’t just you that is capable of it, the people you love are too, they can create their own beautiful scenery. Every person I know can do it, so can you.
Today is the last day I'll be in this busy city. I'll not work here anymore, my contract has ended. I don't plan to continue so it's a bit sad to leave this place. I've grown to love this place, the people, the cars, the buildings, the shops, the cats, this hassle and beautiful city. I hope one day I'll have a chance to come here again for another good reason. I did a sailboat race on Lake Michigan. Way out in the lake at night you could see so many stars in the sky! One of my crewmates was pointing out the constellations. It's also quiet with only the sounds of the wind and waves. That night the water was calm.
