Back over their heels is important to stress. So much we teach children athletically is on their toes rightfully so, except the baseball swing needs weight more back towards heels due to the rotational movement. I see young kids often have weight too far towards toes and when the upper body rotates they lose balance and power, and I think it leads to lunging. Great videos!
Very helpful video and thank you. Is there anything you’ve learned about hitting or fielding since you retired that you wish you knew while you were a young player?
Tony Gwen... Feel your butt under you. This is so important, creates strong base, balance, straight spine that you can rotate around, and keeps your bat in the zone long with minimal head movement.
