Originally, despite always seeing sapphic couples where there are none, when Jodie said that Kaia had been Claire's first love, I was completely surprised. I hadn't realised that that was their relationship, but now, after watching the episode again, and also of course this edit, I feel it as well. They only knew each other for a day, but it completely broke Claire to lose her. Not only because she felt responsible. It's because she saw something in Kaia and Kaia saw something in her. I guess as far as depictions of love at first sight go, the two of them were pretty strong. Which makes it even more heartbreaking that they never got to have any firsts or even get anything past the glimpse at a wonderful relationship that could have been. Man, between this and Alex' story and Jodie, I really want a Wayward Sisters spinoff.
I'm watching season 14 on Netflix rn and completely forgot who Kaia was and what happened to her because she was mentioned for a split second, thankyou for this beautifully made video that charged my memory
