- Part 1 of the MechAssault Commentary. Seeing as how I manage to bring this game up in every single commentary, I felt it was time to tackle one of my favorite games of all time. I wouldn't say it is among the greatest ever made, but it holds a special place in my heart.

Amazing - someone that actually appreciates what this game did for the online gaming space.
Even if MS abandoned us, I refuse to let this die.

I'm against it because it would invalidate the progress we've made modding it and soon Mech2, and the xbox emus getting better makes that more or less unnecessary
Cool to see an active modding scene for this game. I would never want to invalidate the hard work of modders, but in terms of getting the game to have a comeback of any kind I think a microsoft rerelease is still the way to go. Not neccesarily talking about a remake, but something as simple as gettting on xbox one and series x. I think thats a fair compromise to keep mods alive while also giving those unaware achance to discover an amazing game.

Getting it on xbone without the proper support for DLC and the title update would lead to a greater amount of people with access to vanilla which is a great single player game, but a terrible multiplayer experience (the severe unviability of more than half the roster). And I do not want to deal with the nightmare that is telling people "you cant mod an xbone" or whatever comes from that debacle.
I'm not equpped for this debate. I played this as a 5 year old back in the day, so the single player is a I know.
