Funny, David Bowie and Iggy Pop lived together in Berlin. Iggy gives an interview about his Rammstein concert experience in a documentary. Small world, but it comes full circle.
Well, Till definitely sang this from the soul because he was born and raised on the east side of the wall (as well as all R+ members). Only those who experienced it can really understand and feel it. The rest of us can only imagine how it was.
Btw, I was at Apocalyptica concert long time ago and they were really good. I have never been a huge fan but back then I loved everything that was from Finland. I guess you might like them. Definitely you should hear them and decide for yourselves. 😉🖤
Bowie sung this song in German when he was in Berlin for 3 yrs. "Christiane F. Bahnhof Zoo". Movie.

The song always reminds me of the German film “Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo".
Simply one of the best covers of all time. If you are interested to hear more from Apocalyptica, they have many cover versions of metallica songs, like Fade to Black or Nothing Else Matters. But my favorite song of them is Ruska
Motorhead, Peter Gabriel, Celtic Frost, Wallflowers, King Crimson, Paralisis Permanente, Fricción...all these bands do a AWESOME covers!! ❤

Heroes had always been my favourite Bowie song so I was, for some ridiculous reason, nervous about hearing this cover. I was so wrong to be worried though. Till brings a new level of emotion to it, he and all the members of Rammstein are from the former East Germany after all . Till and Apocalyptica are a great collaboration and make their own mark on this great song.
That was how I felt about it. But, Till made my heart sing along. But, the live version by Bowie is still my favorite.
I like Till/Rammstein and Apokalyptica too, but in that case couldn´t compete with the original from David.

Apocalyptica often plays on stage and in studio with Rammstein, Epica and other symphonic metal bands....they are extremely talented, playing heavily amplified and distorted cellos........unique and good....
Nina Hagen and Apocalyptica cover another Rammstein song. Well worth the listen ...even privately to consider for a personal playlist. Nina does a great job in mimicking Till's way of German pronunciation (she's German as well same area I think...but Till's almost perfect diction isn't exactly common german speach....listen to his r. He speaks like a language teacher would....but in a good way).
Bowie has a version in German for this song. I recomend u Nena's (99 red baloons) singing her Rammstein "Ein Lied" cover.

I Love David Bowie, and he did a german version of Heroes, and the lindemann Apocalyptica version is different, even as a rammstein Fan i must say, the the motörhead version of heroes is better. (;
Angels calling with Sabaton is a good colab with Apocalyptcia they were the support act for Sabaton a few years ago on tour there is a live version released by Sabaton and a music Video both very good but live is always better

But what if they themselves like to listen to Rammstein or Lindemann's solo stuff?🤷🏼♂️ It's their channel, they can do whatever they want... There are endless channels that have other bands or other music in general! By the way,

Well, many of us are obsessed with Rammstein, so their reactions to them and Till bring us a big joy. And at the other hand, I think they should react to what they enjoy. So if they like Rammstein, it brings them joy too.
In any case, they are not reacting only to them. They are very open to all kinds of music and they will react to everything that is requested or highly recomended.
They've had tons of other artists respond.
Because we are obsessed with rammstein. And Till Lindemann. Just cos you're not, go somewhere else.
