your cage depends on the rule book for the track or sanctioning body you want to run. Most books will dictate size of tubing, how many points, number of doors bars etc.
This car has a simplified harness from Andy Schumaker. You can find him on facebook through the cobalt crew page. we hide the ecm and fuse box where the wiper motor used to be.
Great video, I just ordered a cage from Dickinson for a 4 door cobalt and this is exactly what I needed to get started

@@teamsurmanracing9236 You can probably get away with it if it'll fit with out too much modification. Best bet is to order one from Dickinson.
Any benefit from using the full piece of angle on the rockers other than the boxed in 3" like your new vid?
Hard to say. I would think the full piece would be stronger
It strengthens the entire car. Along the lines of tying the "frame" rails together.
Can you do a video on installing the lower seat mount sometime?
I’ll be doing another cobalt one in about a month and I’ll try to remember that 👍🏻
@@Raceking46 Thank you.
@@Raceking46 Perfect timing then. I just received my cage from Larry.
What’s the chance you can do a video on how you deleted unnecessary electrical components and wiring and ecm relocation

What year of cobolt you running😊
the one in the video was an 06 SS. My personal car I believe was an 08... I'm not 100% sure lol. We run 2.4 in all our cars.
@@Raceking46 Thanks for the feed back been watching your videos . keep it up. helps a lot✌😇
