a question for those going through this course: how are you going about studying with messer? are you taking thorough notes or just jotting down key points? or are you just watching the videos and trying to mentally retain everything? or maybe just watching videos and taking practice tests? asking for science.
take notes, mainly key points but copy the slides if it is something new I have not seen before. then go through notes, make study pages for anything you do not remember / comprehend. study on those topics outside of messers videos, or review the videos. take practice tests, make notes of the ones you got wrong or dont fully comprehend. I also make flash cards, Ill put the topic on the front and try to explain it and then flip it over to see if my explanation matches. If this is completely new material to you, you may also want a book. im familiar with a lot of concepts already so some of it is just review or seeing a different explanation, but if thats not the case for you then having a secondary source may help solidify the concepts.
I'm taking notes and summarizing in a way that I know I can remember in a test scenario. Whenever I find I'm struggling with digesting something, I'll just focus on taking notes and then restart the video to try to grasp the whole concept instead of trying to write and comprehend. Outside of that, I've got ChatGPT open to solidify concepts I'm still struggling with and I've got an exam book that also has an audiobook version that I'm going to read through once I finish the course.
Unlike RESILIENCE, which encompasses preventing outages and building systems that can withstand certain threats, RECOVERY specifically deals with getting systems back online after an outage has already occurred. RECOVERY can be a largely manual process that requires a high level of human orchestration. -google

I have a question so if your system gets infected and they block you from patching or trying to fix it what do you do ?

What is the difference between Resilience and Ease of Recovery? They both cover how quickly you can recover from downtime right?

resillience = the ability to recover. Ease of Recovery = time needed to recover (saving time is the most important part).
