@twomoosedesign would like to clarify that they have over 600k followers across their social media and that I'm selling them short, lol! 😂Thanks for the fun conversation!
Let me know if you enjoyed this type of content- because its fun to make!
I enjoyed it! It was fun hanging out and chatting!
@@TwoMooseDesign Thanks to both of you!
Dude scratching pieces of the dog due to green screen was so awesome. Btw. Love the video and info. Ty for grabbing them for an interview. More knowledge is more power
Super dig this interview with a fellow woodworker kind of stuff. It's cool seeing a casual dialogue between creators of the same niche.
Thanks! It means a lot that you enjoyed it! I hope to do more stuff like this in the future.
People claim a cnc is an easy button. Nobody thinks about learning the software to use it. Great point.
I love this video! This is exactly what I’m doing and how I’m starting. I’m a teacher just trying to start a new hobby. No woodworking tools or experience. I’m about a year in and still working towards making an Etsy shop.
This is a nice break from ‘wood’ content but it is about woodworking. I think this pretty cool because you get to ask questions many of us have or wondering about. This would be pretty cool every couple of months or every quarter. Thank you! I have been following twomoose as well. 👍👍👍
Jeff's house is beautiful!
AI works wonders on our tiny home! 😂
Enjoyed this! It was informative, real, and a nice change from the "normal" video.Been watching Jess & Jef for a while now... for me it is all about learning the cnc. I am just a retired hobbyist with absolutely no desire to get into the content creation but find the reality of what you all have to consider and deal with very interesting. Very much enjoy and appreciated your positivity!
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
And nice interlacing during the interview as well. Your doing well crawdad. Lol. Ty
lol, thanks!
Ham, Jef, Thanks for the great questions/insight!! Love the path, decisions and pivot points type of information.
The length was perfect. While an hr can provide a lot of info, I find my self wanting to say “move it along”, I have lots of other things I need to be doing!
Keep up the great content.
Thanks!
Great video!… coming from a retired guy working out of his 2car garage full of tools in Iowa…lol…enjoyed it alot!.. hit on alot of issues that I’m facing after a year and a half in business.
What part of Iowa are you from? We live in NW IA!
Eastern Iowa… Cedar Rapids
Jef and Jess are an inspiration!
Been following twomoose for about as long as I have been following you. great content. I am just entering the hobby to side-hustle stage so this is great information.
Thank!
So real and genuine. You two guys and families are the real deal, and I only hope I can create and enjoy the woodworking/CNC projects ya'll share as well as finding my own ideas and put them into actual material items. I know we all get where we are through our own life experiences, I sure would have liked to have gotten into this woodworking when I was so much younger. Thanks to both of you and all your time, experience, and patience with people.
Wow I freaking love this kind of video. Awesome convo guys :)
There are so many really good creators out there; I enjoy when they get together and discuss or work together like this video.
It was such a great chat! Super disappointed Jef didn't play that piano.
Great conversation Ham. Lots of insight
Thanks, brother!
Great video. I really enjoyed this style of video and you asked great questions.
Thanks!
I like this style of interview a lot (reminds me of Making It With Jimmy Diresta, Bob Clagett and David Picciuto). The getting to see makers interact, as well as the behind the scenes insights, make for a great prodcast/interview.
I need $2500 a month to quit my day job. I need $30K to build the 40x26Ft insulated extension onto my existing shop, which will house a new 5ftx10ft gantry router for flattening slabs, a 6ftx6Ft CO2 laser, an 8ftx4ft cnc plasma cutter, the 3D printers, welding, metal casting, etc. The bright side is that I DIY everything which means that I can afford it all(construction background), but it means that I don't have the time to do any of it because of the day job so it takes ten times longer than it should.
I've got an etsy shop that's been on etsy since 2018, but just started using it this year. I have 8 sales, 3 reviews and only 7 listings right now. I've definitely known about the picture thing, but man it can be tough with little photography knowledge, space and photo equipment.
Great video
Great questions. Would love to see more of this type of content.
Love this video dude! Thank you for doing that for us! Lots of great info!
Thanks, brother!
@HamiltonDilbeck, this was different, but very enjoyable and informative as all your videos.
Thank you for bringing valuable content to us.
I'm only halfway through the video and this is fantastic information. Great job!
Love the content you're doing keep it up!!!!!
Interesting conversation
Bro, nobody plays the chick in a thumbnail game like Triple L Rustic Designs.
That's a lot of subscribers...
That was nice. Thanks.
Nice interview - I actually follow this shop on Etsy and see that they've only been selling 1-2 things a WEEK. To make the #s add up it seems you MUST monetize content on FB/IG/YT and drive sales on your web site (no way to measure this from the outside, tho). Hope things take off for ya!
Good video and informative
Glad you think so!
I would say the diversification of their income is the secrete to success, I not privilege to their revenue streams but they partnered with Onfininty to sell bits (yeah I bought some), and youtube, local sales, Etsy and more I'm sure. @@HamiltonDilbeck
Will share this video with someone who has hit the wall and show how not to worry about it. Thanks
Lick some more blue line boot while you're at it.
I have a question Hamilton. I make wood products and I am thinking about selling them as a side business. What do you do about sales tax? Do you pay the sales tax on materials and charge the customer tax?
I can’t take a guy serious that sits in front of a fake livingroom that’s not actually his
It's interesting that you brought up Cam engaging with trolls because that's exactly why I stopped watching his videos. He was including snippets of his snappy comebacks at the end of his videos and I was utterly repulsed by it. It's dehumanizing mud slinging that allows him to make money off of being an a***ole to people and justifying it because they were rude first as if that gives him a free pass to be a douchebag. Gross.
It's certainly a hard line to walk in a lot of ways. I'm still not perfect at it, but I hope that one day I can just let it all slide off without having to comment anything back. But thats just me!
