I think all Black women get to the point where we have to shave our heads because we have to cut it out or it will fall out. Health issues, stress, chemicals - even water hardness all factor in to hair loss. I cut all my relaxed hair in my mid thirties and have grown it natural for the past several years. Congratulations on your decision and you look wonderful too!

As women we are told our entire lives "hair is a woman's crowning glory" and all that stuff as if our hair is all that matters about us. What's inside our heads is more important than what's on top of it.
I am so glad that you are keeping things light-hearted about your hair transformation. God has blessed you with a beautiful face. Everything looks perfect on you!! It is good that you are moisturizing your hair daily. I would keep my hair moisturized throughout the day by gently spraying it with water then adding my oils in to seal in the moisture. I also believe that taking daily supplements should help speed up the process. Brands like Hairfinity are a gimmick, to be honest, because they only break out your skin.
I'd say you have short hair, not bald because some friends I know have bald heads as in no hair at all. And they look great. I cut my hair down to a shorter length than you. I love feeling the wind and rain on my head. I'm vegetarian and prefer more natural and no cruelty hair products. I prefer J.R. Liggett’s Moisturizing Formula Shampoo Bar but there are other types of bars in that brands. Moisturize your skin as you are doing if that works for you. I do not mind being dry. Hair is beautiful and I'm glad you are seeing that we do not need to be so attached to it for beauty sake.
Do you think you would continue the bald look even if you could grow your hair back to what it was? I'm not gonna lie, prob like a lot of people here, I really like the look!
