I think the Lancome Miracle is a good one for oily skin as well as the illumasqua or Kevyn Aquaoin they are all rich with awesome coverage and can be used on oily skin as well...
I love Mat Velvet use it everyday! It stays on like nothing else! It's s concentrated you only need to use a little and it covers all blemishes, dark spots etc. It's great for giving a solid base to your skin. I also tend to be oily so it's great at keeping the shine at bay until almost the end of the day mid to late afternoon. I love love love that you included comments about finding a good color match. I have a olive complexion and find it hard to find lines with a good match.
NP & TY covergirl and Maybelline both have GREAT primers as well as revlon's photo ready primer is really great... setting powder...hmmm ELF HD or NYC Transparent powder.. I love BOTH their loose powders!
NP love... my momo is aroooound the same tone as you.. I will be doing some videos with her and picking out color she could wear... That should help... Glad this helps as well hon TY for tuning in.
I do. I mix my foundation with my primer and moisturizer all at once. all oil free... and when I can sometimes all matte I also sometimes just wear a tinted moisturizer. I have a summer foundation video too.... If you look on my page you can search it... I think it's called summer foundation as well...
I am so happy you have done this video. I am practically the same skin tone as you with oily skin with pigmentation and find it so hard to find the right makeup to cover up. Thank you again!
I love it... I think I have a review... I will look now and post it n the bottom bar. The'yre GREAT LOVE their brushes as well as powder foundation... They have a great range...
I went out and purchased the maybeline foam foundation in cocoa.... it is FANTASTIC! It matches my skin perfectly, even better than my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation! After I lost my formula for prescriptives foundation/powder, I thought I would never find anything else that would match so closely, but I did! I would not have found it if I had not watched your foundation videos! THANKS!
Thanks to you Destiny I asked about Lancome Teint Idole. The lady at the store showed me the ULTRA version and it's perfect because I have oily skin. For my NC45 ladies my shade in Lacome Teint Idole Ultra is "Praline"
Very informative. I've been watching your videos for a long time. Makeup Forever didn't work for me but Lancome did. Thanks so much for taking your time to break down your favorite foundations.
Thank sooo much for taking the time to do this, it was really helpful. I love Fashion Fair Souffle, but it gives me a velvet finish and idk why. But they hit my shade on the spot!
Excellent, excellent review!! Very professional and easy and interesting to watch! Your skin tone is beautiful and you are representing women with similar skin tones extremely well. It's so very hard to find the "right" mix in foundations. Kudos!!
Thank you for this! I also wear MUFE HD in 178. I sometimes wear MAC prep and prime translucent finishing powder, which is white. However, I'm concerned about that ghostly look when photographed. Do you think Ben Nye Banana powder, or another yellow toned powder would be a better setting alternative? Thank you.
Finally purchased MUFE #178 I dont know why it took me so long,. you have been preaching about this foundation for years and u never guide me wrong.. all that to say I LOVE IT!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this foundation review. I'm realizing that I shouldn't be so cheap when it comes to my foundation. I love all your videos.. I been thinking about Makeup Forever for the longest do they have great setting powders as well?
Destiny, How do you apply your foundations with sponges or brush, which is better for coverage? Can you recommend a good foundation brush(s) and sponges?
FYI....I was in Walgreens today and noticed L'Oreal has added some darker shades (beyond shade 6) to the True Match foundation line. I don't know if they are available at all Walgreens yet but it looks promising.
I have 178 in make up for ever and it seem like it worked better when I was darker .I am going to try the 177 for my overall face because the 178 make me look darker and looks flat the last time I was in sephora I tried the 175 and it blended perfect for the light more yellow tone parts of my face . The only thing that sucks is my neck is always darker than my face no matter the season, I wear hijab so noone has to know :). Much love Des you are the best make- up artist on the yt
I'm trying to decide between the Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h, and the Vichy Dermablend. Do any of these cause breakouts, have flash back, wear out before the end of an 8 hour work day, or look unnatural in real life? I like the coverage of the Mat Velvet and Dermablend but love the finish of the Lancome. Can I get the same finish of Lancome with the Skindinavia spray?
Destiny I’m so glad you responded 2 my request. I’ve already posted this video N my how do favorites make up playlist so I’m able 2 refer back 2 it. We R just about the same skin tone. When watching your videos I can somewhat tell how the foundation will look on me and approximately which shade 2 purchase. I’ve learned so much from watching your make up tutorial videos. Thanks again!
I really wanted to love the mufe mat velvet but there isn't a colour match for me and its just too thick. Wanted to love the HD one as well but it left my face too oily like in 10 mins- my closest colour was also 178. Now I'm using MAC Matchmaster in 7.5 which is a pretty good match so far and when i want a full-coverage look I mix my MAC SFF in NW45 (too yellow for peripherals of face) with BB Natural finish in Almond 7.0 (too red) to make my colour. I'm always/still on the hunt for foundation!
I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what would be the best makeup for excessively oily skin that I could wear to take pictures for a wedding in July!!!!
You look great! I'm definitely buying the Lancome foundation that you have on. I bought MUFE HD in 177, but it's too light and the 178 is slightly too dark....weird.
I literally follow you, just so I can pick which foundations to wear! lol I love your skin. Your complexion is very similar to mine. I'm like 1/2 a shade warmer than you... You are like my makeup guide... no lie! :-)
The "lancome teint idole" have a new version, wich is "ultra" and it's matt! You have to shake it well before you apply it and let it sit on skin, but skin looks beautiful afterwards! By the way, that glowy skin look really siuts you. Love from Barcelona
D i got the MUFE HD foundation in 177 it did not match at all i was sent some samples of 178, 180, 185 n the 178 is a little bit too dark for me and it mks my face ashy what do u think about the mate velvet ?
Thanks! but whats NP & TY? Also i have the HD powder by Elf, i maybe doing something wrong it shows up cloudy on my face are something??! What do you suggest as putting it on?
im so glad that I watched your videos. Im the same tone as you, you are very helpful. but I cant afford mac, so what shade should I use for loose powder and by who from cvs or walmart? im a beginner sorry.
I have Fashion Fair Foundation Stick in Brown Sugar and it works so great as a concealer for me. Actually works better than Amazing Concealer I bought from Ulta. Also I guess I need to pull out my Revlon Photo Ready Foundation. I have it in Mocha. Never used it but if you said its good then I know it is;) I will have to go back and get the Cappuchino. Thanks for doing this video.
Hi there, thank you so much for your videos, it is so helpfull for me, you have no idea !!! A lot of people use Becca, did you ever try it ? What's your color ? Thank a lot, you're beautiful Regards from France...
I like Mat Velvet, too, but it irritates my eyes and gets really shiny once it oxidizes. Is there something comparable to it in terms of texture, color, and coverage? (I'm about your skin tone.)
FINALLY someone mentions the Kevyn Aucoin SSE!! That has been my go to foundation for nights out. I've had it for about 4yrs and still have plenty left! Great product! I wish I were able to wear MUFE Matt Velvet, but unfortunately is broke me out :-( Right now I am trying out Giorgio Armani's Maestro foundation and so far, I'm liking it for everyday wear. Great picks and I enjoyed your video :-)
So I'm kind of looking for that doll like matte face and I can't use Studio Fix from MAC because of breakouts, would the MUFE Mat Velvet be good to use? :)
Hi Destiny, not only was I excited to subscribe to you because I believe that you had the same skin tone as me but when you pulled out the MUFE #178 I got too excited cause I use that too lol. I love your makeup, fashion, and style. Thanks for being very informative. By the way because the weather is getting hotter and my face gets oilier I use ORIGINS Brighter by Nature SPF30, 12:DEEP-WARM, its a powder foundation and a skin tone correcting makeup, for anyone else that needs it (I know I do).
It is SO nice to have someone that is my complexion giving ME makeup tips and reviews! Thank you!
OMFG I'm literally in LOVE with your beautiful chocolate brown skin it's so gorgeous! Your skin tone is to die for!!! 😍😍🙌
I love it too... you're right it does give a plushy velvet finish...
SOOO glad to hear that! I like NYC loose translucent powder or the pressed powder as well
Not only is your skin GLOWING, but bright hot pink looks so good against it!
I think the Lancome Miracle is a good one for oily skin as well as the illumasqua or Kevyn Aquaoin they are all rich with awesome coverage and can be used on oily skin as well...
.... it is great It's the one I have on... if you have dry skin I agree with sshine...
I love Mat Velvet use it everyday! It stays on like nothing else! Very informative. I've been watching your videos for a long time. Makeup Forever didn't work for me but Lancome did. Thanks so much for taking your time to break down your favorite foundations.
I'd love to hear more about the right moisturizers to use according to the type of foundation one wears. Please do a tutorial. Thanks!
Thank sooo much for taking the time to do this, it was really helpful. I love Fashion Fair Souffle, but it gives me a velvet finish and idk why. But they hit my shade on the spot!
I do like them I have a few I will be doing a video on really soon!
Your skintone is SO beautiful, so even dark and SHINY (: It looks like a models skin!
I don't like their powders too much... do they have liquid?

Thank you so much for this video! I have oily skin and it is hard to find stuff that works! Great video and great editing! You know a lot!
Excellent, excellent review!! Very professional and easy and interesting to watch! Your skin tone is beautiful and you are representing women with similar skin tones extremely well. It's so very hard to find the "right" mix in foundations. Kudos!!

Hi Destiny,
Would you mind doing a tutorial on how you apply the Kevy Aucion foundation? It looks really thick, and hard to blend.

I literally follow you, just so I can pick which foundations to wear! lol I love your skin. Your complexion is very similar to mine. I'm like 1/2 a shade warmer than you... You are like my makeup guide... no lie! :-)

Do you know if Mary Kay foundation is any good? Thanks sis, You have the most beautiful skin tone.
What do you recommend for someone who is of darker complexion but has a yellow undertone in the T-zone/center of their face?
The "lancome teint idole" have a new version, wich is "ultra" and it's matt! You have to shake it well before you apply it and let it sit on skin, but skin looks beautiful afterwards!

Do you like the MUFE HD better than fashion fair
Did you ever upload a high-res version of the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer SX15?
What color are you in MAC? Please answer :) lovely video!
I have Fashion Fair Foundation Stick in Brown Sugar and it works so great as a concealer for me. Actually works better than Amazing Concealer I bought from Ulta. Hi there, thank you so much for your videos, it is so helpfull for me, you have no idea !!!
A lot of people use Becca, did you ever try it ? What's your color ?

Regards from France...
Very helpful video. I plan on buying the NARS tinted foundation for the summer and to take with me when I go to Jamaica in Aug.

Hey destiny what brush and technique is the best to apply the fashion fair foundation that you had in the video????
Hey what foundation are you wearing??
Hey Destiny, is the Maybelline Dream Air Foam good for oily skin?
Was going to ask the same thing. I have trouble finding powders which do not make me look ashy
Have you tried the Nars sheer glow/sheer matte foundations? They are really great :)
I LOVE U SO MUCH GIRL!!! You always help me know what to get!! :)
Omg you're so pretty!
Thank you :) also, that top/color on you is very beautiful.
