    Those are so cool to use. I was gifted one for Christmas one year, by a local soap lady.
    I loved it I bought more off her.

    Got my loofah seeds! Ordered on Amazon but then found a pack of them in the seed section of our home improvement store (Menards.) I'm excited to see how they grow and be able to soap with them this fall. I was looking for ways to incorporate my young boys in my soaping, without them being anywhere near lye, so that they can tell family and teachers they helped make the soapy gift they are giving. Helping grow, harvest and prepare the loofahs will be a great task for them. Thanks for all the inspiration!

    I'm loving the green and the lime EO in this, Catie. Will definitely put this on my growing "to do" list xx Linda

    That was so interesting! I did think loofah was from the sea, so I learned something new today. What a fun project and your finished soap is beautiful!

    Thank you for the video. It's the reminder I need to use the luffa I grew last year. I've made a few batched but this have about 10 luffa left.

    That is so funny, I usually do it with M&P, and this weekend I was wondering if you could do it with CP. You are my angel, question answered. Thank you very much, will do it this weekend.

    I planned on trying using loofah. Even grew some large ones. But they molded before they dried out. Darn Florida humidity.

    that's a nice shade of green. did you notice any air bubbles between the loofah & the soap towards the center, or with enough packing down it removes all the air well? thanks

    You said to rinse the loofah with worm water. Is that all one need to do before using it?
    Does it have to be dry? Some people cut them before. Did you tried that method?
    Tks!! 😍

    Would the process be about the same with HP? I'm sure the EO would have to be added at the end of the cook but wasn't sure if the results would be the same. Thank you.

    My soap failed!! I had and extra 1/2 cup I poured in a mold and it is fine, but the loofah portion is soft and weeping oil and not firming up. Any ideas as to why?

    • @KatN2000
      @KatN2000 8 років тому

      Hi, did you let the loofah dry completely before adding the soap?
      I never did it, but as I'm researching, I would like to know some of what to do 😜
      Hope next batch worked fine.
