I thoroughly enjoyed this informative and entertaining video on Cinema du Look. Unfortunately not all the films of this movement are easily available to watch.
Nice doc. I love the cinema du look, but it's so rarely brought up in discussions on film history. Some constructive criticism: expand. You do a nice setup of the sociopolitical situation that created du look, show how Luc Besson evolved the form, but then you rushed the ending. You clearly have enough info to keep going, so do it. Otherwise, I really enjoyed watching this. Thanks.
Ethan Sloan Thank you for the comment, I think the same way about the cinema du look and that there is a lack of discussion about the genre. Its a totally different way of approaching film critically it seems. And thanks for the feedback i will definitely take into consideration for my next video.

That advertisement is straight out of the original Miami Vice. All oiled skin and bright neon colors against pastel.
