I can't believe it's taken me years to put in words what I'm about to say, but here's why I love a great many pieces of yours, Chipzel, as ''To the Sky'' has granted me the clarity to do so just now. I love your pieces for their energizing opposites: the melodies of harmonics evoke struggle and hope, dread and dreams, sadness and greatness; they are loud and sharp yet touching and soothing, empowering yet disarming. All in all, pleasant to the ears and the heart, and that, from the instant they start to the moment it all fades away... almost how I wished life would be for every one of us. You bring light to darker days, and brighten the good ones even more. Thank you.
I have to say, it's so very nice to hear music like this. It's rare to find someone so enthusiastic about this kind of music, despite how nice it hears. Sure, the game boy sounds aren't as 'perfect' as some other systems, but it can make just as beautiful music.
TheHouseofIvo damn straight. I just discovered chipzel a few days ago and my mind is still trying to comprehend the fact that she does all of this with two Gameboys and a computer. that's amazing on so many levels
For all those who's asking why the photo is pixelated, Chipzel said it herself, she doesn't really like this specific photo of herself XD she commented on one of the videos
starting to get into Chipzel, i rlly love it >o> i can't believe none of you are talking about Famitracker, though. That's what i use for all my 8-bit work.
TWEAKBENCH is a great vst which is supported in FL studio, you can use FL studio to get some really authentic sounds using emulation software, so you keep the interface but have the same technology
@RedBigButton demo version, dude. :) And you can save your work as a .mid file. That's what I did for a while, but my friend gave me his old FL 7 disc recently. And image-line lets you update fl studio each time they come out with a new version for free.
I have to agree with this. For chip, if you can't get the actual hardware, I'd go with FL studio and Plogue Chipsounds vst plugin. Though, it's important to learn the basics of music and song writing first. If you're writing a song, play it out on a guitar or just the basic piano setting of a soft synth first. If it's bad, no cool sounds will make it good. The original chiptune artists for the C64 were world class composers. Remember, be a musician first, chiptune-musician second.
I would recommend going straight to Famitracker. I've got that, and FL Studio... and I find Famitracker has a much simpler UI... FL has too many bells and whistles for me find my way around it. That said, I don't have any chiptunes plugins for FL.
The only problem I see with this is that most chiptunes are made with trackers, which function nothing at all like modern music production software. Most of the aforementioned head start would be nullified by having to completely relearn how to produce.
Your music is what you call real awesome. I didn't know that they are fake. I have a question: Where can I get fruity loops? Please, please, please, pleeeeeesae reply. Subed
@prototypecrysis I think before you get into chiptunes, you should get a lot of practice in using FL studio... Just get the hang of writing your own songs and which notes sound good together. Because FL studio is the most user friendly interface and if you learn all about making electronic music, you'd have a headstart when you started doing chiptunes. :) I make fake chiptunes with an 8bit vst using FL studio and it comes out fairly decent.

Today it is exacly 10 years ago this track was released. Still love it.
She is my Favorite. Artist EVER!
chip,dubstep,8bit
or just pure awesomeness
It has been remastered by Chipzel in bandcamp. Which has different vocals and higher Octave
the thumbnail looked sharper but the picture of the video is is pixelated... my whole life is such a lie
the cake is a lie
Thats what I was gonna say
How did this get more likes than the beautiful comment just above it?
Came here after playing Super Hexagon, am absolutely falling in love with the rest of the music and this is without a doubt my favorite one.
For all those who's asking why the photo is pixelated, Chipzel said it herself, she doesn't really like this specific photo of herself XD she commented on one of the videos
Amazing.
Electronic beeps and boops make brain go "yes"

When it sounds acceleration tempo, it sounds good (also, 2nd version song)
Alright, who's the bastard who disliked the video?

+Ichiro Takeuchi thats because they are quantum Trolls!

@WOAHFOX I've noticed that despite FL studio being an awesome program, no one EVER mentions that it's expensive as he||...

Super Hexagon bro, they are!
UA-cam's loading animation gives chipzel a fetching moustache

@RedBigButton
So is a good guitar, piano, etc etc... ;)
esta muy sádica :)

All you need is a DMG!
I love Pixelated Music
The new sonic drown effect
Whas that one part from New Numa?
why are video game devs not clamoring to give you a spot on music development?
What is that genre called??
How is it even works with pic?
Or she is pixelated,or clear,how?
Time.. For another Microsoft Paint session. :)

What do you use for your music I have nanoloop on my game boy but I can't seem to perfect it any tips? :/
pretty girl that makes amazing music, cannot be better ^-^
Hi :D
WOAHFOX, how old r u?
왜 사진 바꿈? 섬네일
Sonic boom!!!
Sounds a bit like one of her songs in Super Hexagon...
but a great chiptune set is FAR cheaper (for around 60/70 dollar you can make one your self and for about 80 to 100 you can buy a premade one)
most of the time its a simulated sound.
Uh, I'm 17.
Kiss me
