How about next some waterproof card flourishing while swimming in that lake.
As someone who can't swim and often drops thing, it makes me a bit nervous to see you so close to the water.
When I first tried to learn how handle a deck, I glued the cards together. I did five packets of eight cards so that the 'deck' was thinner. It helped me get used to feeling the cards without having to pick all the cards up one by one.

I don’t really use them for learning, I like to use them as their own thing and adapt moves that work with them.

You are going to use cards when doing cardistry...
Always use the actual material you're going to perform with...when practicing. Professional football players don't practice with a nerfball...Musician's don't practice with a guitar hero controller. Just one man's opinion. Thanks for always having great content EKat.
I was part of some really cool commercial projects and it was rarely cardboard, diversity is good for dexterity. I get your point though and if you are only into cards or magic, it’s not a must-have.
