The Ultrasonic Heated Tunnel Jacket offers the best in insulation solutions. Carbon fibre heated panels are embedded into this padded jacket to bring extra warmth and comfort to the wearer. The use of innovative heat sealed baffle fabric increases its water resistance. The S547 also has three heat settings controlled by a button at the chest and includes a rechargeable battery that offers 3-10 hours of heat.

Today's a pretty cold day.
We're into winter now in Australia.
However, I'm lovely and toasty and warm in this jacket.
This is the new Portwest Ultrasonic Heated Tunnel Jacket.
The jacket has heated panels in the left and right chest
and in the back of the jacket.
I can change the heat settings - it's variable.
There's a button on my chest here that you can see glowing
where I can cycle through the different heat settings.
Just quietly, I'm feeling like I should be on the set of
Star Trek. That glowing button is reminiscent of
the symbol from that genre,
and I've probably got the head of hair for that set as well.
The battery power for the heating elements is provided
by way of a battery bank. I'll just open up the jacket...
It's located in an inside pocket.
This is a battery bank that you might be familiar with for
mobile charging of mobile phones or tablets.
So this is a little battery bank.
USB point into the jacket.
There's also a second point where I can recharge a mobile
phone at the same time.
The battery power lasts between 3 and 10 hours,
depending on the setting of heat that you've selected on the jacket.
The jacket is water resistant.
The cuffs close nicely. There's toggles at the bottom of the
jacket to stop cold air coming up your back.
Very comfortable and warm... Love it!

My portwest jacket failed in less than 12 weeks. The cable at the battery connection failed. My jacket bought with my money, so it was looked after.
The seller said he didn't like my chances of warranty so I thought it best to warn others. A good jacket otherwise, bought undone by a flimsy connection.

Howdy Jeff. That’s no good. This is a fairly new product for us - we’re not aware of any failures at this stage from our stores. All the best with the retailer. It may be able to be repaired if the retailer isn’t able to exchange/refund depending on their policy.
