Pet Shop Boys were an integral part of my life. The story isn't all that interesting to a stranger, but this song will always invoke a memory inside me. They are one of my favorite bands of all time.

So, it is September 1993, and I am one and a half month before I turn 20 and two months before the death of my mother, from cancer, at 47. And Very - Relentless is released, and I know that there is not only uncertainty and confusion and hardship in the world... and that life is much more than running away or reacting, automatically, to adversities.
And now I am almost 50, and music is still my other plane of existence, almost equally important to the real one. Thanks to the Pet Shop Boys, amongst others. So, thank you Neil and Chris.
I can somewhat relate to thar, I was 29 and my mother had died the year before at 54. Back then I bought the limited edition soft-bubble double CD which I still own. 30 years... where have they gone so fast?...

So lucky that even in Australia I was able to purchase the original limited edition double cd (with the plastic bubble cover), which I still ahve somewhere. This was my favourite track on CD2. Not sure how many were manufactured originally?
