Very nice car with stuffed features. I have to driven this car from Chennai to Goa Via Bengaloru, Mangaluru to West cost road to Goa. No body pain, not feeling tired. I love SWIFT ZXI.
2nd generation swift falls in Ulta Legend category...That car still has unmatchable charm

Same engine, same *TIN can quality* and a 15% improvement in the design. I don't get it, other brands like Hyundai and VW feel so solid and their wow factor is epic, the only good thing by getting a Suzuki is the After sales service. Keep in mind that If the owner is good and nice to his German/Korean car, they reward you with absolutely no troubles and may outlast their owner. They are more safe too compared to this tin can. It's 2018, it's not the time to be patriotic by buying Indian brands when they cost the same as much better rivals. Everyone is expecting more quality from Maruti, instead they are ripping peoples pockets by providing Patriotism and FIAT SOURCED reliable engines (Thanks to Fiat an Italian company -_-). All Maruti does is source metal and cheap plastics to make tin cans with new faces and sell them to proud feeling Indian's for the same price as a tank like VW and Hyundai cars. Grow up Maruti Suzuki. We want you to improve in the quality aspect and making NEXA doesn't make tin cans premium.....
Saketa Reddy Gopavaram excuse me maruti is no longer indian suzuki has 54% share in maruti it owns maruti all money goes to japan,its fooling true indian brands are tata and mahindra,and anyways dont drag tata into this its matching international competition coz new cars are developed with jaguar and landrover,very reliable and are hit too plus are much cheaper than competition.
So buy other brands why u want maruti to improve.

As a proud ex-owner of a 2012 Swift ZDI, I feel very disappointed, I think they have diluted the spirit of the brand Swift. Common Maruti, you have so many good commuters in your lineup, you didn’t have to turn swift into a lame duck. You did this to brand ZEN and now to the Swift, In my personal view the car looks weird from all angles, and why mess with the door handles? I hope Swift gets back it mojo in the next generation.
There is no denying that this car does not compare in build and features to Hyundai, VW or Ford but the swift has been an amazing drivers car with the way it responds. Only Ford betters it in that respect because the others are just boring to drive...
As always a substandard manufacture quality for indian customers compared to the swift - made in japan.
The glass area is pretty small in the rear though, but still, Swift is all set to conquer the hatchback segment again

The only dealbreaker for me in the swift 2018 is the awkward placement of the rear door handles.
Exactly if a small kids want to open it cannot and also people who are not generally aware that the door opener can be there upside on the window.....a big drawback for this car
The chasis and the body shell of the swift and the dzire are hollow from quite a no. of places in order to reduce weight and gain more mileage. Though the maruti might have made the chasis rigid but the the body shell is like made of very light alloy. If you hit it hard the panels tends to bend in. Compare that to a vw polo , ford figo or elite i20 for that matter the body structure is as solid as it gets. Please bear in mind that swift's are known to be rattle kings. On a personal note I feel that it is better to get a car that is safe and gives me 3-4 kmpl less mileage than a tin can.
Looking for really strong car, one should go for Punto, rest all others fail
I have swift 2nd generation and that car is undoubtedly fantastic..
After endless issues from my Ciaz, I will not buy any Maruti in future.
Maruti should improve their build quality.

Actually the second generation looked much better on the front headlamps and the 1st generation for the tail lamps. The 3rd iteration - Nah!!!

for indian roads 162mm ground clearance is not enough. it will kiss most of the speed humps..
Dissapointed by the dealers attitude i was supposed to take delivery of swift yesterday but now the dealer ia telling that the discount have been changed and he cannot give me the car if i dont take extra warranty as it been made mandatory by maruti from feb 2019 .

ignis is a very good car but because of Baleno and swift it is getting crushed the Ignis has the most peppiest engine and it goes as fast as 180 kmph .. i own an ignis and we tried and it reached 180 kmph...in case of mileage in city it gives around 20 and in highway 23...and it is cheaper...then why people don't buy ignis

New Hyundai i10 grand nios is best in segment because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. Value for money package. Also high speed of Grand i10 nios is better than swift due good suspension setup and more kerb weight than the swift.

The power train that will make you truly happy is the swift sport 1.4l 140hp engine.
Don't buy any Maruti blindly just because it costs less.. Compare, drive and then patiently make decision.. In the end if you like being safe and concerned about quality/comfort you'll never end up buying a Maruti

ive seen many review videos of swift 2018, but nobody is giving detailed review about the diesel automatic variant. How is the gearbox. How does it work with a diesel engine. Is it worth to opt for it.

Looks dated..from back looks like toyota etios liva..front looks good..but still far behind hyundai's design language.even last gen elite i20 looks better than this..
Also height reduced... Do they think all Indians have similar low height... Dzire has taken a hit in sales after the new dzire as per my observation and I believe this will go the same way...
They should give rear wiper and defogger from vxi variants.

#hyundai has its oomph factor in every car , attention to detail is at par from #MSL . Well again swift sells outside india is different from what we are getting here , Cost cutting , shiny plastics a MSL patent is again they just want to sell it by doing bedhchal and ofcourse there is no doubt #Baleno is still a better option or else go for Hyundai .
Hello, Autocar! Big fan. I need your sagely advice. See, my options are the new Swift ZXI and VXi. Is the VXi better value for money? Do the bigger tyres in ZXi make a big difference? I'm also considering my old favourite Grand i10 Asta. Would you please give me your thoughts? I have to test-drive these cars, decide, find the money, and sell my faithful, long-serving Alto LXI (2003) by next week. Help!
Go for the Zxi has all the safety features and larger tyres give better grip.

The swift and dzire are not any modern compared to the baleno . The dzire still makes a point as ita has a better interior but , the 3rd gen swift has an even crappier interior . Maruti should learn a thing or two from hyundai on how to make cars with practicality and luxury side by side .

Automatic is available on Zxi/di but they reduced features. Why Maruti why? Automatic don’t have DRL, projector headlamp, Reverse camera, Touch Screen, Automatic climate control?

I never appreciated any generation of the swift or the desire.. and the third generation is just the same , nothing to be considered as a fantastic change.. i don't know why the reviewers are appreciating it.. may be it drives good but it is still too ugly for the newer generation car enthusiast..

If you ask me the LED DRLs alone make for a 'facelift' kind of a look change between the ZXI+ and ZXI. The Non-DRL version looks plain sad and boring.
