I really don't like the odds of Cozens bouncing back. Quinn has had some good looks and I'm not nearly as worried about. But Cozens just being not good is flat out scary, no 2nd line center, or then you're missing a top 6 player, on top of still wanting Benson to fill the other questionable top 6 spot.
Jonah, you seem to pay attention to advanced stats. I know in year's past, when the Sabres were actually off to hot starts, the stats gurus would temper the optimism because the advanced metrics didn't match the wins/losses. Currently, the Sabres as a team are currently #3 in the NHL in Corsi For % (5 on 5), and #11 in Expected Goals For %. This implies, if the advanced numbers have credibility: 1) Buffalo is not as bad as their 1-4-1 record, and 2) it will turn around, because these are valid predictors of future performance. Thoughts?
How come Cozens scored so much for team Canada this spring? Maybe we need to look at the "talent" we have on his wings? Benson isn't top six ready, and oft injured Quinn may not be recovered completely.
I am from Newfoundland Canada 🇨🇦 and a Sabre fan since 74/75 and I am disgusted with this team .I do still see potential on this team though it seems like they paid a few too fast especially Cozens who seems to be a head case .
Jonah you are way too reliant on advanced stats for your arguments. This team hasn't struggled scoring? First three games they scored 1 goal a game, three losses, then they face a depleted Florida team that has let in 3 or more goals versus every opponent this year so far... Then a struggling barely considered starting rookie goal-tender and old team Pittsburgh BEATS THEM even though they are gifted at least 2 or 3 goals in that game from terrible goal-tending. And then today they lost AGAIN even though they were facing yet again another struggling goal-tender that hasn't even played 50 games in the NHL. And you consider that not struggling to score? Advanced stats don't tell the whole story, especially in such a small sample size, their advanced stats will regress quickly versus REAL goal-tenders and actual good teams, they can't even beat the bad ones.
Should Kevyn Adams be concerned about his job? Something has to change quick and it's too soon for Lindy. - You fielded this - cheers!
I like the idea of Dylan Cozens frantically searching the internet for his highlights

LockedOnSabres checked on Cozen's speed and its down for sure...he needs to get going. Yes. SELL THE TEAM TERRY!
Actually it was Quinn's speed he was looking at, not Cozens.
This is simply unacceptable

Guys... He made his wife who knows nothing about hockey the president of hockey operations! Clearly this is ownership and not staff or roster.

This is a ownership problem plain and simple as day, everyone should know this by now Terry doesn’t give a shit
Hypnosis could help?

Bingo! Exactly my thoughts. Looking at things from an advanced stats perspective is awful.
Right on!
Yes you blame Kevin Adams he has had multiple years to fix it and his attempts keep failing. He has fallen in love with his guys too much
Awful they are heartless
Cozens absolutely looks slow
We have to get rid of Samuelson
STOP!!! its 5 games!!!....at least give them 15/20 before running a player off....I had to turn the madness off at 18 min. in....
