The animosity from the community didn't come out of nowhere, sure.. some gamers are entitled, but we literally watched Halo go through one of the most turbulent arcs in gaming history.
As a fan since I was a kid back in 2001, I really just want the franchise to resurge once again in popularity..
I’m gonna start this comment saying I’m a conservative. I don’t agree with DEI hiring and yadayadayada, but just because she’s black and/or gay doesn’t mean she can’t work in a game development environment.
Now if it gets in the way of her job then it’s an issue, like the guy that said he had an issue with developing guns in Halo. But she hasn’t posted anything controversial or anything like that so she doesn’t deserve any hate.
Also adding onto my comment, it seems like people wanna have someone to blame since Bonnie Ross is gone now.

If these people who are complaining even listened to what they say in the video and read the interview that followed after the video, they’d realize that one of this team’s objectives is researching Halo and recreating that feel that every halo fan loved.

I think you are wrong. They showed us stupid graphics. no cares about graphics, it'll be good no matter what. She is definitely a DEI, but that doesn't automatically means she's unqualified, she's been a research manager for Microsoft before going to Halo Studios, also I'm pretty sure the only reason they just showed the graphics is because they don't have much of a product ready, they should of held off on the release of Halo studios rebrand at least until they had some type of stable beta for the public to test in their remake.

Concord failed because it had terrible marketing, uninspired designs, and was not doing anything to separate itself from the already established competition. None of this is "woke" overwatch is way more progressive than concord was and and that game is what made hero shooters what they are now.

For all the faults Halo 5 had, the multiplayer is still the best in the series. At least things were still earnable and not strictly purchased. (I know things are earnable now in infinite but its too late for that).

There isn’t anything wrong with DEI .it’s just how it’s properly handled that’s the issue that most people don’t fully express.
There’s nothing wrong with halo . We have Johnson … Miranda keys , Halsey,Palmer, June , kat, Emile-A239, literally fighting aliens who are way more diverse than humanity lol . The only issue we have is similarities with concord and Ubisoft and other game companies. They focused too much on that part of the game development process. Instead of focusing on the fundamentals that are more important.
Write the story that flows naturally for the main characters that have a plot that focuses heavily on preexisting events and on growing story narratives that don’t breach the plot of the game , to introduce ideas from outside influences.

Diversity equity inclusion (DEI) is literally being used as a Marxist, Bolshevik term for anti-white in the modern era of politics and media.
That's fair, but at the same time, people saw that a person on the team had purple hair, ONE PERSON, and said that "Halo's gay waaah" I don't see the issue. As long as it's Halo, I'm fine.

@@Jbo2000 it’s how its properly handled. Look at OLD games . They did it naturally. That’s what I want in a game . Just make a game for the fans . And everything will flow naturally. Instead of making that a main focus . Gears of war up until gears 5 . Halo up until halo 5 .
And other games . It’s more or less the focus on narratives . If the devs take the narrative of a preexisting game and swap it for a outside influence ( sweet baby inc) then the game’s narrative will completely shift to something that doesn’t exactly follow the Preexisting World Building.
It’s more of a writing decision than most people would think.
