I bought MG Hector Shine CVT Variant
completed two services in CIty Mileage 9 and in highway 12
interms of space & comfort amazing nothing beats MG hector
Engine performance is good you don't feel any lag just few secs initial lag you will notice that is ok
I did test drive creta , seltos, taigun, slavia , virtus
but when I sit in MG hector I got feeling of I am sitting in two segment above compared to creta , seltos, taigun, slavia
How is the 5kmpl mileage? My friend bought a MG Hector and he spends 3000 rs just for petrol every week.😂

They should have provided electronic parking brake with auto-hold, it's a very underrated feature but highly useful.
It's already available in Hector, but not in manual. I don't think this feature is possible in manual cars.

The main disadvantage of MG Hector & Hector Plus is the mileage. I own a Hector and have never got above 6.5 (max 7) in city.

Got to say, the overall look and finish are just awesome of this car. Even going to the third row is really easy as you said, but I would say it is a little cramped up for adults no doubt they can seat but ideal for children.
MG paid them to promote their poorly built tin ka dabba. MG ka engine is so underpowered which u will know if u take that to hills also infotainment system is very laggy...

drive quality of xuv 700 is much much better, in longer run mg would cost more maintenance than xuv 700. Yes there are features but reliability is a questiion in mg, where as xuv 700 has little less features but its one of the most reliable vehicle in the country. I think xuv700 is win

Reliability? I owned xuv500 from last 8 years w10 top model diesel, engine and ride is top notch but sensors and plastic use is pathetic, majorly sensors r in my vehicle r not working as now so questioning on mahindra as well

No NCAP ratings, and only 1.5 litre engine for petrol - IMO MG stands nowhere when it comes to a direct car-to-car comparison with XUV 700. I am comparing models of both the companies priced at ₹24 lakhs (on-road). MG has 140 BHP whereas XUV 700 has a whopping 197 BHP, not to mention the safety standards of 5 star ratings of NCAP. MG has done a phenomenal job when it comes to its EV but lacks very far behind in petrol and diesel cars. However, the only issue you’ll face with XUV700 is Mahindra’s poor after sale service. Once the car goes for a repair, it’ll come back only after 2 weeks. Most of the time you’ll end up involving senior most people in the department to get the job done because people down the line are not capable and lack even basic executional skills. But in MG, the after sales service is TOP CLASS.

New hector doesn't have an automatic variant for diesel engine and petrol engine does have an automatic variant but mileage is very low for a 141 hp fwd engine ... that's why people go for .xuv700 , scorpio N and safari

Hector Petrol can’t even come close to XUV Petrol AT. Even in terms of looks and build quality XUV is ahead. Hector is only ahead in terms of features. I am proud owner of XUV top end Petrol AT. If u love to drive then without a second thought go with XUV but keep in mind for top end variant one has to wait for 9-12 month.
