Idk how they are saying 56th and Springfield when it’s clearly Chester ave (that’s my old elementary school) now I can see if they said between Chester and Springfield but Chester is a major road so that should be noted
That's where I grew up. The big church & school at the intersection of 56th & Chester Ave, is Most Blessed Sacrament, where I went to church and school. And, I lived on the next street, to 56 & Chester, on S. Allison St. It's sad to see what's happened to it. It used to be such a great neighborhood.

Raise the cost to order in the hood. They can afford it now since they got all that stimulus money. Besides they got all that section 8 in that City it's free money flowing everywhere in that left of a city with the mayor and district attorney who is so sweet on crime
The water mains need to all be replaced but that will never happen because they city will never fork up that kind of money. Guess who's going to pay for it "TAX PAYERS".
Parts of Philly are 100 years old now and underground plumbing will be failing more often until it's all replaced
Those water mains are way older than 100 some maybe as much as 150 years old
Don’t wanna spend no money 💰 to replace it
@@dreamcage1801 it's not so much they don't want to spend. The backlog is years. You're talking about miles upon miles of lines.
It will wash away litter, and some of the blood stains.
Not a penny of that infrastructure bill will be spent on this.
All of that water damage. I hope people can get help with repairs.
Nobody has flood insurance. 😭
That’s about the only way to get Philly’s streets cleaned!!!!
Lmfaoooooooooooooo facts.
💯👏

You know I had the same thought when I clicked on this. That's not too far from me.
Nothing new in Philly, this has been happening for years. All the pipes need to be replaced especially in the hood.
The backlog for the water department is several years. I forget what the number of how many square miles of lines you're talking about replacing.
Think there was a couple float- bye shootings on rafts and canaues during this road flooding
This is horrible. I feel bad for all effected by this.
These comments are crazy. Things they would NEVER say to your face🤡
Odd there is no off valve isn't it?
Even if there was, it's under pressure so it can be pushed into multi-story buildings, so until that pressure levels off, it'll keep flowing.
@@iGame3D So you're saying there are no shut off valves from the main line? Would you live in a house without a man water or electrical disconnect?
Crazy can’t. Wash up brush my teeth
Damm stink stink sorry

Which neighborhood?
Same in Boston Massachusetts.
What happened?
Major water main. I think this is probably a 36-inch. this is around 56th and Chester Ave.
This will delay criminal activities since the criminals will be mad if their shoes get dirty.
Right in front of my house smh
No wonder why the water pressure was low Couldn’t
🚿 this Morning
Thought I smelled something.😁
Oh wow. did someone shoot the pipe?
No trolley, no shower, no work....Philly sucks
Your poor neighborhood sucks for sure! That's no where to raise a child at all. Your probably on Section 8.
I second that.💯

Philly is literally going down the toilet
That is a good thing maybe all that flooding and all that water will wash that filth out of Philadelphia filthadelphia

Nothing to worry about. Turns out the city was conducting a "Global Warming Drill".
Because you're at sea level
Ughhhhh omg Philly is super dirty why 💦 water brake alll time Germs
The water is eroding the ground where it's pushing out of, that's why its brown water, there'll be a huge sinkhole there when this is done.
deff was planned
Yuck🤢🤮
Charlie’s Chocolate river
What are the streets being flooded. Heard everything but the most important, no streets given.
