We've been enjoying Bag of Dungeon quite a bit, especially after coming across a simple little variant on BBG that introduces a timing mechanism. Great fun!
Astasia the Changeling--being able to shapeshift into a creature she's killed is AWESOME! I own some D&D board games, which I enjoy--but Bag of Dungeon 2 is also attractive. I like that the characters have a certain number of lives, and the color combination really pops! I would confidently give this game as a gift, knowing I was giving a unique surprise! P.S. I like that you prefer meeples over plastic minis--I avoid games with metal coins. I prefer wood or plastic game money.😄
I really like the idea of having a quick to set up dungeon crawl like this, but I’ve already ordered the d100 mapping expansion from gamecrafter and I’m hoping it’ll scratch the same itch.
Oh wait...was this a great big fat bag? Yeah, I may've... no I read about this on the internet... This was another one I went back and forth on - I really liked the theme. Thanks for posting these impressions!
I'll be interested to hear how you'd rate _DeathMaze_ in comparison to this sort of game. (I haven't forgotten, still working on it and making progress)
Always love the idea of combining games! Yet another fantastic video. I recently got Tin Helm based off your video - I enjoyed it a lot! What would you recommend after in terms of dungeon crawlers, if I were looking for a larger experience, primarily solo/2 player co-op?
@@TheDungeonDive I'm looking for a darker theme, primarily dark fantasy for a setting if possible! In terms of the gameplay, I'm fairly open to anything that's a dungeon crawler, having not experienced that many board games at all, but I think I'd prefer something that's not too "puzzley" and that requires too much optimization or hard thinking, if that makes sense. Thank you!
Do you think this could be combined with another rule set, like maybe Tiny Dungeon? Or would that take too much away from the core of this game? (ie: doing that would only give you the tiles / maps and not much else.)
Other than this game and One Deck Dungeon, I am new to solo games, but I don't have a group of games play friends, so solo is what I am looking for. What are the latest solo games that you recommend? Thanks, and great video by the way. I bought this game because of your vid. Oh, i just found a newer video of yours discussing the top 10 solo games. Thanks.
My entire channel is devoted to solo gaming. 99.9999% of all the games covered I play solo only. So just find something that looks good! :) Here is a recent top 10. ua-cam.com/video/SGOEY0I_FQA/v-deo.htmlsi=KBeFwrgJTh2fHuS7
Yeah! I do that kind of stuff too! I did a major Shadows of Brimstone conversion with others. It’s super fun to just make your own games with the pieces of other games! It’ll be interesting to see if anyone comes up with anything on this!
I love the idea of combining all the games into one experience! So cool! I really love the look of 7 moons!
I have all 3 games… combining them is an amazing idea.
that 7 moons game looks so cool.

It really is a nice looking game. The colors are great!

D100D is a few (many) layers more complex than BoD. Just FYI.
It puts the dungeon in the basket
I love 7 moons! great video Daniel!
funny how the combining of alll 3 games pretty much describes league of dungeoneers :D

Oh...I wanted those nice minis....😯
Looks so fun

That's such a broad question, so many options. What are some of the things you're looking for in terms of gameplay / setting / theme?

You might want to look into Folklore: The Affliction.
@@TheDungeonDive Thanks! I’ll check it out :D

Not sure. Sounds like maybe you’d just be using the components to play another game. Although you could probably expand some things.
do the monsters move? or always stay in one spot so can attempt to avoid or hit with range, thus making them not as big a threat?

12:58 - This sounds like a job for Geek Gamers!

Indeed! I may be doing a vid on this game once I get it to the table, but I don’t own the first one-it felt a bit too light for me to pick up.
