Definitely a fan of the Typhon and the same yet different characteristics of it. Such a cool multi function area to bash at. Makes for some cool vids.

The Typhon is amazing an I feel very lucky to have such a cool bash spot close by. Thanks for watching!

You nailed it in your opening. The Typhon is so much lighter than the other 3s vehicles. Makes it seem faster and jumps so smooth. Drove one the other day for the first time and it's so different to my Big Rock and Vorteks. I'm still on the fence to get one or not but it was a blast to drive. Thanks for another quality video.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it! Yeah, the Typhon is so light and agile...keeps it from breaking on bad landings too, in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

    • @rcleesd

They sure do! They come stock with IC5 which is backwards compatible with EC5.

Has anything on yours broke yet? My servo broke on the forth run and dirt gets down into the motor gear mesh. Love to see a video series about the best things to upgrade.

Love the Typhon 3S… what diff fluid weights are you running? And which punch setting on the ESC? These are two things I’m considering tweaking next…

50k front and 30k rear are the go to for bashing! I have mine on punch setting 5 and it's a blast! But punch setting depends on your driving ability and habits :)

Don’t listen to others that say grass will burn it out. All hard usage will burn anything out of its cheaply made.
I have a roller for working on gutter rails and the bearings have withstood my entire life of use daily it’s crazy.
I put a new set of Arrma bearings in my rig after a year of bashing with Jim’s bearings.
The stock bearings sound like bad crunchy grit 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Must have found a defect bearing I’m not sure yet.

    • @rcleesd
      @rcleesd  3 роки тому +1

Yeah, these rc bearings take a beating and I run mine in dirt that has a lot of sand in it. Thanks for watching!

@@rcleesd my send spot is a sand pile. I know how that goes.
The hack I heard of before about cutting a hole for dirt to come out where the slipper and spur is only causes rocks to hit the teeth and do damage.
The other build I have finished with No hole still sounds mint to this day Lolol. I got rocky ground that’s for sure.

After running my Granite and Notorious the other morning in grass BOTH of the rigs solder on the yellow cable on the Granite and the blue on the Noto got hot and came apart. I had to resolder them back together lol. I've never had that happen to me on dirt AT ALL. Not sure how or why, but it happened running on grass lol What even more odd is that I checked the temps on both of them and they were both under 130 degrees on both the esc and motor. Coincidence maybe? I dunno......

@@rcsendandblast1579 Oh I know it man mine have hit close to 200 and nothing came apart lol I don't know if this was a one time coincidence, or if maybe the humidity was high and that caused it, but for BOTH my rigs to do it at the same time was very very suspicious lol
