This is my backyard. Sera is my granddaughter...she just ran with this interview, lol. Having a plane crash in your backyard is a surreal event. We were running on adrenalin that day, a lot of official people, a lot of news people. I am glad Sera actually stepped in. At 11 years old, she did an awesome job getting the facts out. The 2 men who got hurt were whisked away and we didn't know at this point what injuries they had. That's why she didn't mention them.
Sera would definitely be a newscaster for news 6 if she could. 😊 That would be a fun side gig! (School first).

I don't have any grandkids but if I did, I'd want them to be as eloquent and smart as your granddaughter.

So what happened to the pilot
One had a broken ankle, and one had a broken tibia. Both have gone home to their families and are healing well.
Was anybody in the plane? I want to know if they died if there are people in the plane

There were two passengers, both men are okay, only suffered a broken ankle for one and a broken leg for the other.
