Leave it to Blayne to seamlessly link TRT and black metal elements! I also genuinely enjoy the tie-in to the religious themes between Morgul Blade and Deicide LOL. I'm also glad to hear Dolmen Gate get a shout. Fantastic female-fronted heavy metal.
I wonder how many skulls you would have given it if you hadn't been recently over exposed to DEICIDE. Speaking of which, I'm trying to understand the skull system: what would constitute one skull?
1 Skull = Terrible. There is no point owning this album because it is so bad. Delete it now. It's a waste of space. One star should be extremely rare. 2 Skulls = Average. This is the ho-hum album that is not terrible, but not great. It'd be okay if it played again, or it would be no big loss if it was accidentally deleted. 3 Skulls= Good. This is an album you like and would enjoy hearing over and over again… as long as it wasn't too frequent. Most of the music you enjoy should end up here. 4 Skulls = Awesome. If you really love hearing over this album nd over…and over again, it's a four-star beauty. All of your absolute favorite songs will end up here. This pretty much the highest rating, except… 5 Skulls = Perfection. You won't have many of these albums in your catalog of music. You probably won't know it's a 5-skull album until you've heard it a hundred times as a 4-Star. Five stars are extremely rare. They indicate a level that you never get tired of listening to. It is absolute perfection.
Here's the real skull protocol: 1star-you showed up. Participation trophy. 2stars-you actually were disciplined enough to bring a product to market. 2 1/2 stars-its better than some other shit you've heard. This is where it gets subjective. 3stars&up-totally personal taste of the critic. 5stars-indicates potential social media violence should you disagree. Prove me wrong.

Glenn Benton and Vitor Belfort buried in the same heavy metal review. I'm not sure what this was, but it was great. And Ireland definitely owe you some Guinness and...potatoes? Idk, what do they eat over there?
I've never listened to this band though I was aware of the acclaim the last record got. I'm interested in checking this out since the vocals are more of a blackened variety. Except for bands such as Ghost and Ozzy-era Black Sabbath I'm not a huge fan of most traditional metal vocals so anything that bucks that trend will peak my interest.
This is really good, and I'm going to get it, but I'm getting a little tired of the "blackened" thing. Unless it's straight-up black metal, of course. I never thought I'd say that. Thanks, Blayne!
Your issues with this record were more or less the same issues I had with the debut Savage Oath LP. Great songs but way too much faffin' about, there were 2 instrumental tracks on that record and half of the real songs had minute-long ambient intros
The decide album blows this out of the water everyday! I don't even know how you can compare the two, but opinions are subject and yours are just ridiculously terrible
Thanks Blayne and all the metalheads out there who have rocked with our new album! Cheers
Sick cover and awesome album. Is there anywhere to get the vinyl????
You can order via their label No Remorse @@rowanrobinson
So hard to like a band from Philly
Thanks for your music 😄
Yo I’m a 58yr Thrash/Metalhead & I’ll LOVE this Bro🤘
Thanks for the kind words on the art, Blayne!
Happy to have it associated with these tunes⚔️
Great stuff as always James!
@@BangerTV❤❤❤
Every time he talks about Glenn just cracked me up 😂🤘
Amazing album. I'm booking my ticket to Ireland tomorrow.
The orchestral irony is not lost on me. I too was classically training on double bass since 5th grade so, yeah. Anyway rock on Blayne!
also now I want to go to Ireland

Hell yeah! I really like the habit of putting in links for the shoutouts! Saves me the hassle of pausing and trying to google the name lol! :)
God I fuckin loved that album
Blayne on the topic of Glenn Benton featuring Glenn Benton is the show we all need!
Jim Viola sounds like a Seinfeld character, some friend of Kramer.
Crazy Joe Davola, that was it.
I love how much you rip on Glenn in this review
Love your reviews Blayne - not only for the love of music, but for your awesome humor. Thank's buddy!)
Along with sadistic force and graveripper…. blackened thrash is definitely a great genre now.
Kontakt and Armagh also produced great 'metal' records this year. Blayne, totally with you on the axe intro to this one - stellar.
I'm loving that Kontakt album!!
This is an awesome album! 5/5 so far for me.
It's already on my best of the year. Hope to see them live some time soon.
That Glenn bashing finally earned you my patreon 🤘hilarious 🤣
(and I discovered so many bands through this channel)
Thanks!
That deicide callback left me on the floor :D. Love the humor. SEE GLENN?!
This record was a lotta fun. Nice review!
So good! Classic review 😂😂
SEE GLENN! TRY AND LEARN, GLENN!
Morgul Blade: Travel restrictions may apply.

Nothing. As far as I can tell they've never rated anything less than 2.5

Slow down, I'm too stupid to read that fast.

I'm curious, what is the band on the flag underneath the Hulder one?
I think it's Worm
@@EagleEyeJimmy it is!! Thank you
You guys changing the name to BlayneTV? Hah just kidding, another great video everyone.
Yeah I've been really enjoying this album I'm definitely surprised with it
Great people!
I love underground Metal 🤘🤘🤘❤️💯💯💯

Sounds rad. Though kinda funny your intro says you’re getting away from extreme metal in this review, cause this sounds very blackened.
can you review the new inter arma and frail body cmon
That Dolmen Gate record is hawt.

Best Judas Priest album since Turbo.

Hell yeah
Which glenn
Hardest I've laughed during an album review 😂
Pretty heavy still
Your issues with this record were more or less the same issues I had with the debut Savage Oath LP. Great songs but way too much faffin' about, there were 2 instrumental tracks on that record and half of the real songs had minute-long ambient intros
Still no Priest review....😢 No High on Fire review either? 😮
I do find it odd they never did Priest, but I guess Popoff was busy and the rest of them don't care
That High on Fire album is my favorite of the year so far
tweet me glenn pleese
The decide album blows this out of the water everyday! I don't even know how you can compare the two, but opinions are subject and yours are just ridiculously terrible
Don't need AI for album covers
Kiddie stuff , good rev Blayne
