For EGG hatching, your odds are 15 out of 16 of you getting stars, and 1/16 of getting Squares, so when you hatch a square shiny it’s really rare! (It took me 32 shiny’s before I got a hatched square one) BUT in the wild when you’re shiny hunting in grass, your odds for a Square are 15/16 and 1/16 for stars! So not so rare for the grass :3
What is the difference between the square shiny and the regular one? Is it any different competitively? Also I had tried with HA Alakazam and never got a shiny even after over 800 eggs
No difference competitively at all, it’s purely cosmetic. Breeding you have a 15/16 chance of Star sparkles, 1/16 chance of Square sparkles. In the wild, you have a 15/16 chance of Square sparkles, 1/16 for Stars. So basically it’s just an extra feature! :3
