Somehow up until today, her songs still ring in my heart. It was the first ever foreign gospel album I ever heard. It was played every evening at home. Her songs made my childhood evenings feel so special. The holy Spirit kept me in such an atmosphere that I now know was necessary to preserve me for His purpose. Praise to Jesus our Lord. Just Marilyn, a piano and a room full of teenagers. She sings it now with that same fresh joy and abounding love for God which was one of the things that led me to become a Christian myself. Thankyou Marilyn for defying that studio head who told you he liked your song but didn’t think you’d ever make a recording artist. Seems that God had other ideas!
Great woman. Marilyn Baker is one of the very few iconic song ministers I listened to while growing up in the early 90s. My Dad had a tape of her first album. And he did play it over and over again in the house till all of us can sing all the tracks therein. God bless Marilyn Baker and her ministry.

Have a 200 song gospel playlist and many of the songs are yours, Marilyn, my favourite one being "I, The Lord Of The Sea". Keep going for another 40 years. Love you Marilyn. Discovered Marilyn way back in the eighties and saw her in Nuneaton in concert had her tapes , just discovered her anew today she is great.
