Looks a bit too primary school to fit in my gaming room, but i might get it for the kids. I like the sfc colour scheme on the buttons. Wow, buying something i saw on youtube...it must be christmas
I saw this at Chinatown a week ago and was pretty amazed on the quality that this unit has to offer Mark. It has my approval for sure bro. 8^) Now the price over here is a little more, but you have it your possession right away after you pay. So I think it's worth it. 8^) Anthony..
i wish china would make a mastersystem on a chip and make some of these with mastersystem games there is already 1000's of devices out there to play nes/fc games
I agree. There is a lack of variety in these devices. We do need Master System and PC Engine and more Mega Drive and SNES. Famicom has been done to death.
Yup another good clone to bad it's just NES game I thought it's will be Arcade or at least SNES oh well still good clone though, btw you don't have spare battery for your camera Mark ?
I'll be covering an arcade clone in the style of this unit soon. I'm just waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully because they've concentrated on one system they'll do it right. Unfortunately I don't have an extra battery for the camera. Normally 1 will out last the 64gb SD card.
You bet Mark. I pre-ordered both regular and collector's edition for the AES. Both in Japanese. Also I made a reply on Atariage thanking you for wanting to help me despite the region issue with SNK Asia. Anthony.
Hey! While watching this that's the exact same music my PSP knockoff has! Except in a higher tone. Which somehow it sounds more square waved on your side or its just how it sounds through what I'm using to watch this video.
Ah, the tune is from Mighty Final Fight and a favorite of the Chinese clone manufacturers. They always use this track for some reason. This unit seems to be missing a sound channel which may be the reason why the tune sounds different on this machine.
Hey, did you take down your website? Was searching for your saturn game impressions to check something but maybe you can tell me: What's the difference between Devil Summoner Soul Hackers and Devil Summoner Soul Hackers: Akuma Zensho Dainishuu?
Ah, the site went down over a year ago. It was too costly to keep it up. I really don't know the difference between the two games I'm afraid. Its been many years since I looked at them.
Deja vu heh. That is a nice screen. Looks pretty good but weird all that and it's still only a Famiclone. Somebody needs to make a "SNES on a chip" to push this industry into the future. ^_^
I guess with them concentrating on one system they can actually make something worth buying. I have an arcade one and a Mega drive on on the way. Let's hope these are better.

And go against the centuries old tradition of "if it (barely) works, don't change it unless it means sales will suffer"? Heavens no, death before additional expense account entry!
Tomtop has decent prices but if there's a problem with your order, don't expect any refund... Been over 2 weeks and they still trying to scam me and act like i'm responsible of taking care of the damage caused during shipping. They well know I'm just a consumer and not the sender, I cannot do anything on my end. They offered 10$ for a 80$ order and I asked for 20$ and they repeated the same message from the beginning so we're just stuck in an endless conversation. I'm fucking pissed.
Murlockingqc Yep. That's why my only rule for buying from China is if it's not on Gearbest I don't buy it. Never had a customer service problem with them, they once fucked up and send me the wrong controller, they send me the one I ordered and told me to keep the other one too.
@@RmnGnzlz I agree, Gearbest has one of the best services and the shipping/packaging is adequate. Only reason I still need to use Tomtop is because they have a huge selection of electronic products. Tomtop customer service is ultra shit.
Gearbest are actually sponsoring a future video. I'm just waiting on a product from them. Unfortunately the rules in China are different from the West. I've not had any issues with Tomtop myself but I did have a problem with Aliexpress on two occasions. It's the sole reason I've not featured anything from that site for a few months now.
@@RetroCore You're buying from an anarchy market and you should expect as much. You go in knowing it's a dodgy market and you really shouldn't expect first world customer services and protection when you're dealing outside of it. Wasn't even very expensive compared to the better machines from the anarchy markets.
Just picked mine for 17 USD, honestly a very good Famiclone out of others i have...comes with 2 Mini USB Gamepads shaped like Famicom Controller...good deal
It really looks like a throwback to the vintage tabletop handhelds, but so much better. This hardware with a Raspberry Pi inside would really be something.
How do these coupons work? I see no option to use them. Thanks for another great review, shame about the camera thing, all work for nothing. Perhaps from ow on always use 2 camera;s.
@@RetroCore I had an issue with this also a few weeks back, no place to enter the coupon. I almost bought this, but I'm glad I didn't as I have no use for it at all. I have a freaking Sharp Turbo Twin Famicom, rgb and stereo modded with an everdrive
With that set up you don't need thus but for future reference you enter the coupon code when entering payment details. I checked with another user who bought from Tomtop via one of my older links.
@@RetroCore Ah, I guess it does not work when using Paypal, doesn't everyone use paypal? You litteraly do not have to type in anything, except login with Paypal. But ok, coupons not working is a downside I guess.

No more primary school than the Neo Geo mini 😊. I love how they've totally ripped of the design.
Retro Core but to be fair, the neo geo mini isn’t good enough for me to consider buying (it’s still better than the playstation classic though)
Nice round builded machine! It´a shame doesn´t have more 8 and 16 bit emulators with games inside.
Cool video!
I agree but they always seem to mess up the systems when the cram a load on to one console.
I’m fairly “meh” about another famicon clone, but it shows how easy it would have been for the Neo Geo mini to be battery powered. *sigh*
Indeed. But do keep watching because I've got a dedicated Arcade version coming soon.

Anthony..
I've got an arcade based one on the way. I'm hoping the same build quality is used and same screen but most importantly good emulation.
Looks suspiciously like the NeoGeo Mini
It sure does. That's what they were going for.
Retro Core Sure it’s not the same hardware?
Take it apart, can we throw in a Rasberry Pi? :)
A regular one would be a tight fit but a pi Zero should fit.
Retro Core hope to see a tear down video of this, would be interested!
considering how many of these Chinese knocks offs have bad emulation this one seems to fair quite well. Case is looking very Neo-Geo mini too

Good review! Nice mini arcade, but I think it's fair to buy products with officially licensed games (or original ones).
That is true. Its good to support the original developers.

If its any consolation, the battery in this one is better.

I do not personaly support Chinese bootleg products, helping them with paying money will help them to spread out like cancer cells in economy.
Are you actually Korean? I'm just wondering from your signature.
Why must they always use that same menu with the final fight music? Why can't they try something different?
I know. I don't even think it sounds good. It's a really annoying tune IMO.
Cause mighty final fight music and game is cool
Older clones use way worse in menu music, so this is already a step up and I actually do not mind the MFF music.

no worries. the kids will enjoy this.
