@@ZERAT00L Shaman is one of my favorite sets in Grim Dawn. What secondary you choose depends on what playstyle you are after. For melee, Soldier is a great team with Shaman (Warder). For using the totems, good secondaries are Occultist or Alchemist. There's just so much goodness in this game!

I looove the Primal Strike skill, its such a shame there are not more items / weapons that support it properly. After farming for the halberd I'm still seeing my damage drop off around mid Elite which is annoying, cos I don't want to give up the skill haha 😭😭
You gotta farm a higher level version of the same halberd when damage falls off :) Areas scale with your level up to a certain max and all the way to 100 in ultimate.
Just put all in physique unless you need cunning/spirit to equip gear, but you shouldn't need any as long as you put enough points into the mastery bars.
Hello, ty for the awesome info. How about attribute points? What do you recommend for end game? Mainly physical for the armor/health or spirit since it increases the primal dmg?
I Love this guide thank you. But in order to get 6 green for arcane bomb devotion, you have to get the spider devotion (completion is 6 green) instead of scholars light (gives only 4 green), you said scholars light was an option which is incorrect, you will still need 2 more green.

Which secondary class did you choose on your Shaman? Many builds can defeat mogdrogen including primal strike shamans, but mogdrogen is very lightning resistant, so it's not the best damage type vs him.
I haven't played Avenger Warder myself, but from reading about and comparing other people's performance and experience, I would say no. Hey, i ran through your builds and guides and now i`m eager to try out your druid caster with the ludrigans set...is this build still solid or got it some major nerfs?
Primal Strike Druid is still great for a beginner build and Ludrigan Druid is one of the best endgame builds that can do all content with proper kiting.
New to Grim Dawn, and I have all the expansion packs. I just beat the warden. I would like to go for korvan storm lvl 20. Will that item still be viable after I go through all the forgotten content to get to where I can farm the korvan? Like heading to the expansion to get an item kind of has me confused. Should I just skip it and wait for ugdenbog sparkthrower?
All the green Monster Infrequents (MIs) have also higher level versions, which you can also refarm. For example the lowest korvan storm halberd is level 20, but there is also a lvl 40 version, etc. all the way to level 94. This just means that you might have to refarm this weapon every ~20ish levels. In Grim Dawn monster level depends on area level and area level depends on your character's level. On normal difficulty the Forgotten Gods areas scale from lvl ~20-60 so you can refarm at least the first three versions of the korvan storm halberd. For higher level versions you will have to go to higher difficulties (elite/ultimate). What this also means is that you should never spend too much time trying to get your MI while leveling. Just try to get one with any affixes. Don't be top picky because you might have to refarm it in ~20 levels from now anyway. Farming for the perfect affixes is only worth it at lvl 94+. Both halberd (for melee) and sparkthrower (for ranged) are viable at all stages of the game, you just need to have a version that's appropiate for your level. When it comes to getting the korvan storm halberd right after defeating Warden Krieg: You might have to do the entire Forgotten Gods act to even get a single halberd, so only do it if you also feel like you wanna do the act, otherwise you will also be fine proceeding to Arkovia with any other 2hander with attack speed and/or lightning damage. You will be a little weaker compared to having the halberd, but primal strike should still carry you just fine.
@@rektbyprotoss That explanation helped a lot thank you. I ended up going to the conclave of three, and proceeding to Temple city of Osyr. I got the drop off a yellow mob grim tools listed (alacrity) 😁. Super happy, I'll just farm another one in another 20 levels or so like you mentioned. Thanks again!
I have trouble with melee builds for some reason, even with over 3k DA and armor with decent life steal, I have trouble surviving high SR. But the guides always say it can do SR 75-76. What can I do to survive a bit better?
The people that say "easy SR 75+" on the forums usually use the aggro abuse mechanic, unless they specifically say "no aggro abuse". This basically means that try to pull the bosses one by one and instead of fighting all four bosses at the same time, they fight four bosses 1v1 four times. This obviously makes things a lot easier.
@@rektbyprotoss Yea I kinda figured, except 80% of the time I get the circular room that instantly aggros 2-3 bosses, whereas all the videos ppl post are in that lava room. I just can't seem to find a build other than retaliation that can consistently solo high SR regardless of the room you get.
@@Emsee87 Which is why all this "easy SR75+" is completely ridiculous to me. My highest personal SR without any aggro abuse I did on HC was shard 70 on my fire RE Oppressor (kiting around). Using aggro abuse as part of "consistent SR farming" is imo a joke. If you wanna farm gear in SR consistently, imo farming 65-66, 60-61 or even 50-51 is already very efficient. Literally the highest you have to be able to get to is 60 (for SR set) and the devs have already said that they won't try to balance anything above that. Problem is that people on the forums have started to wave their "SR 75+" tags like e-peen enlargers, so they won't stop boasting with that. Sorry for the semi-rant, but there are so many people that think getting higher than SR 60 is mandatory in some way, which it isn't at all.
But why should you then go for soldier as a second class, if you want just to spam Primal Strike? Dont get it. It would be then more sensefull if you go arcanist or inquisitor, or not?
Thanks for the vids! I am wondering if the main attack skill actually scales with attack speed or casting speed like the soldier's skill? Since it isn't a default attack it seems like you would want casting speed.
Great guide, Rekt. I'm having a lot of fun leveling my Druid based off of it. Do you have any recommendations on which Shaman skills to soft cap? I currently have some gear that is pushing my maxed skills over the edge and wanted to see if I can reallocate some of those for an earlier jump on my Arcanist skills.
I would never overcap Heart of the Wild, 10/10 is all you ever need. You can put down Mogdrogen's Pact to a onepointer if you have enough +skills to it. Raging Tempest and Oak Skin are ok to overcap, but have diminishing returns (compared to pre softcap points), so you can put them down to softcap for now and maybe later overcap them after taking all other desired skills from your second mastery of choice.
I did decide to soft cap Oak Skin and (if I remember correctly) Raging Tempest. My Druid is currently only level 47 or so, but is cleaning house nicely so far on Veteran. I just switched from melee (40 Korvan Spear) to Ranged (40 Sparkthrower) and it's working nicely, although the ranged setup is turning out to be more of an energy sink. I'm hoping that as I'm speccing through Arcanist, some of that will get mitigated in the process.
By the way, at 17:00, as far as Revenant devotion goes, what type of ability would you bind it to as we already have Primal Strike attached to Arcane bomb.
Until you find another yellow or green 2hander with better DPS. You can trust the DPS number as long as you have Primal Strike on your left or right mouse button and move to on the other mouse button.
Hello RektbyProtoss. my only charachter is a lightning Primal Strike Warder ,and the component i use on the weapon is Seal of corruption. i have know moments ago that the debuff -25% cast/attack speed dont affect bosses . Because of that, should i continue use that seal becaseu of the stats that gives and the damage ? if no ,can u suggest any good one ? i see some ppl using seal of blades ,but i dont know if is really good for this build.ty alot
I would probably switch it over to a seal of blades or seal of might now, unless you were using seal of corruption to reliably proc a devotion skill. The best thing about seal of corruption was the resistance reduction and that got removed.
Go full physique except for the points you need in spirit and cunning to wear lvl 94 jewellery (~400 spirit) and a lvl 94 ugdenbog sparkthrower (~550 cunning).
You can still respec to lightning primal strike at lvl 20, no problem. Just visit the Spirit guide in Devil's Crossing, you can respec all skill points and devotion points.
I tried levening with melee 2h primal strike, but when I was around level 28-30 in act 2 I was missing alot even against white monsters, especially against ghosts. I was allocating most of my attribute points in physique and only some points went in cunning/spirit for item requirement. Loosing alot of mana when my attacks are missing is the thing that I dislike most with this skill. Does range Primal Strike has a better chance to hit monsters?
If you miss attacks, you probably had not enough offensive ability. You should try to have offensive ability on a high enough level to have at least >95% hit rate. Shaman doesn't provide any OA outside of savagery's tenacity of the boar buff, but you can get OA via components, items and devotions. Also if you haven't tried ranged primal strike at all yet, go for it, it's one of the best ranged playstyles in Grim Dawn imo.
@@rektbyprotoss Thank you for elaborate explanation. I tried to compare 2 hander melee Primal Strike ability with 2 hander Force Wave, and was not pleased with the fact, that it has such a high chance to miss at leveling phase and it takes your mana even if you miss a hit. Nonetheless, I will try to play with range Primal Strike in nearby future using your tips, as soon as I finish my Conjurer playthrough. Once again thank you, and I wish you all the best!

You can use falcon's claw for a pretty long time until you find a good green storm halberd from act 7 or an empowered version of the falcon's claw. Hovering over an item and checking the green/red numbers works fine as long as you have primal strike on your left mouse button (or right mouse button one, if you have move to on the left).

@@rektbyprotoss thanks a lot.
Very helpful, I am destroying the campaign so far :D
But why should you then go for soldier as a second class, if you want just to spam Primal Strike? Dont get it. It would be then more sensefull if you go arcanist or inquisitor, or not?
Soldier is good for 2h melee if you are looking for general tankyness and attackspeed.
Kinda curious how vit primal strike speedleveling would work
with the new rylok marks.
Thanks for the vids! I am wondering if the main attack skill actually scales with attack speed or casting speed like the soldier's skill? Since it isn't a default attack it seems like you would want casting speed.
In this case primal strike scales with attack speed.
I would either one point grasping vines and use that to proc it or use an ability from your second class.
Why switch from stormcallers pact to censure aura? The ele res on enemy?
Yes, the ele res reduction is more important for endgame.
What's the website u pull up the gear to see what piece drops where or how to get it?
www.grimtools.com/
@@rektbyprotoss thank you. I'm new to Grim Dawn like 3 days ago new fresh player.
@@ryansmith4626 Welcome to Grim Dawn, Taken :)
@@rektbyprotossthanks I'm actually enjoying it. I'm playing the 2H Primal Strike I'm doing it alittt different then how u were doing it I think
Which fraction should i choose? :)
Generally kymon's chosen have the better augments and better gear for primal strike.
how long should i be using that first 2h you picked up
Until you find another yellow or green 2hander with better DPS.
@@rektbyprotoss OK Ty alot.
Thanks for the guide! Super new to GD, when do you suggest putting points into the 2nd class? I'm planning on taking solider.
Glad you like it and welcome to the Dawn, Taken! Usually I'd say around lvl 40 or whenever you maxed out your first mastery.
I'm playing this setup with a 2h gun. How would you allocate attributes for that?
Go full physique except for the points you need in spirit and cunning to wear lvl 94 jewellery (~400 spirit) and a lvl 94 ugdenbog sparkthrower (~550 cunning).
Hm this seem more fun than my bleeding conjurer build. but i cant start over when lvl 20 -.-
You can still respec to lightning primal strike at lvl 20, no problem. Just visit the Spirit guide in Devil's Crossing, you can respec all skill points and devotion points.
I did just that. Very good guide. I will check your guides out. Hope you make more. Have a sub +1
what set and itens shhould i use for vindicator 2h melee?
For primal strike, Ultos set. I kinda like Light's Defender + Mythical Stormreaver with totem+savagery more for Vindicator though.
@@MightyBrosky You're welcome and good luck with your chars! :-)
hello love this guide it help me a LOT this is my first caracter that i am trying to go for endgame. i will like to ask how log will i use falcon's claw it drop for me i am lvl 27 now and i am still using it not sure for how log so far the only way to see if it is a bter wepon then the drop ones is to just hover over it and see if it tell me that it does more damange.
(sorry for my bad eng).
@@rektbyprotoss yes that is what hapen i keep it all the way till the newer expesion and found a charge kovad storm halvard of alacrity ( i am sure i kill the spelling). now i am lvl 61 it when sooo eazy omost no deaths i only die when in stede moveing i was attking, as for 2 job i when with solder no i am thinking of goin elite. i LOVE LOVE your guide.
what attributes do i lvl cunning and spirit? or health?
Mostly physique. Cunning & Spirit you only need to put as much as you require for gear. There are some builds for which it's better to put more cunning or spirit, but on a shamans it's generally not that good.
@@rektbyprotoss thanks man !!!!!!
So until level 32 you are just pushing one button?
Pretty much, yea. If you like to push more buttons earlier, feel free to get wind devils, storm and wendigo totem earlier.
@@rektbyprotoss Cool. I will look into using those. I am brand new to this game and your videos are very helpful. I was just looking for a highly mobile build that is a bit busy with it's rotation. I got my Shaman to level 20 and this has been very effective but I think I might have to get a second mastery for a more interactive build.
how do you 2hand a weapon?
You equip a 2hander.
@@rektbyprotoss my bad yeah i just started i thought 2hander means dual wielding 😅
Time 13:43
which attributes do u go though?
cunning/spirit only what you need for items, everything else into physique.
@@rektbyprotoss thank you!

Sorry about that lol :D
i love how your grimtools build is literally useless
?
@@rektbyprotoss it just has the wespon now. It's broken
@@ellewoodford262 it's not supposed to have random drop gear on it, only gear that you can targetfarm. Click the book in the bottom right to check out the skill and devotion distribution.
@rektbyprotoss it literally used to have all the gear in all the slots, and all of it was farmable. I farmed it a few months ago and came back to it being useless. Now there's just the weapons
