Thank you for saying this Titus, for all of its faults college basketball is still one of the best sports to watch and the fact that people want to get rid of court storming is absurd. It’s so refreshing to watch basketball where there’s so much passion and defense and such a high level of competition compared to the NBA.
HELLO!!! AWARENESS Didn't the Duke coaches notice that the STUDENT BODY of Wake Forrest was lined up around the court to storm it before the game ended???? #DUH
Have to agree with the guard play. Even in nba terms, I’m a bucks fan and while Giannis makes unbelievably exciting plays, him scoring 40 isn’t nearly as fun as a guy like Steph or dame doing it. There’s something about the anticipation of waiting for the shot to go in that makes it so entertaining. I’m sure 2000’s lakers fans would say that a Kobe 40 game was way more fun than a shaq 40. Guard play is good for cbb
Totally agree with Mark. I graduated 30 years ago from KU, and fans have court stormed us at least once a year ocer that time. Theres been exactly one bad incident i can remember since then (and the Wake AD was the AD at that school too). Its a non issue, let the students have their fun.
I agree with everything you said regarded court storming. However, I think the powers that he will try to get rid of it, so at worst I would be willing to be fine with giving the players about 30 seconds to get off the floor. That way it doesn’t interrupt with the momentum as much but these whiny ass players can at least get to the sidelines. But again, we have a beautiful tradition that the overlords want to ruin because one guy needed to ice his knee for a day
Court storming is awesome, but there is too much of it. Aside from the conference tournament championships, there should really only be 1 or 2 court stormings a year. You should not be storming when you're the favorite. The more and more this goes on, the less special it is. If we could somehow temper it back, this conversation never comes up. When you watch a court storming every week, it gets old.
*Lawrence North staff entering the chat * I hope it was you that made the grammar mistake between Parody and parity. I would love to make fun of Brownsburg schools for that big fan of the show go Cats!
I think if you beat a top 5 ranked team and your school hasn’t won or if you beat a big rival you haven’t beat in 10 years you just storm the court it’s a reaction not like okay let’s wait 5 minutes. Way more passion in colllege sports you can tell just by the tail gating. Plus professional sports is way different and a lot of those fans have kids and stuff it’s just different. Also, those are student athletes they want to celebrate with there fellow classmates
Jay Bilas’ take is hilariously idiotic, especially coming from an attorney that knows how backed up the courts already are in college towns.
Jay Bilas should be arrested for that take
Just FYI you’re talking parity, not parody

This has been a very strange, yet awesome year for college hoops. Can’t wait to see how everything shakes out. ILL
