Organist Gets Frustrated While Practicing Litanies by Jehan Alain

In this video I'm playing Litanies by Jehan Alain. I'm using Cavaille-Coll organ's St Etienne Abbey in Caen sample set by Sonus Paradisi of Hauptwerk VPO.
In the middle of the 2nd page I'm getting some wrong notes in thick chords and repeatedly try to fix them but nothing good happens. Vidas jumped in to help me out. Watch my reaction.

Ausra - I had the same problem with that section! There's no easy way to play it is there? Glad to see that I'm not the only person who had to work hard at this bit. Then there is the notorious repeated section on the final two pages - yikes!!

When I looked at that bit for the first time at the organ I just started at it, realising that there is no fingering ‘trick’ that you could use. I’m still figuring out how best to play it. The horrible thing is, something that works slow might not work fast, so I feel like it’s a bit of a pressured decision!

@@AusraMotuzaite ​​⁠And it’s such a fun piece! Looking at it since your video I wonder if the lower notes of the alto line couldn’t be taken in the left hand on top of the chords? It’s a bit of a brain-bender but it worked for me better than hopping the thumb so much - but you do seem to have a very agile thumb so maybe your way works better for you. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video!
