This Song ist always on my mind for all the last years, the power of the great song- writers like Tunstall is Something that keeps and wont disapear..thank you for giving us a song like that! Rock and Love!
She's literally one of the most creative talented singer songwriter musicians ive ever heard and seen. I got to see her in July 2023 on her NUT Tour in Dublins Academy for the first time since I heard Black Horse And The Cherry Tree late 2004 / Early 2005 when it was released, almost 18 to 20 years later especially with Other Side Of The World and Suddenly I See too in 2005 aswell. She was phenomenal, she didnt have the loop pedal but 3 guys helping her as a live band, Stu, Andy and Se (Pronounced Shay) thats probably not even his name but the whole band and KT rocked it such a highlight for me to see my childhood singer since i was 8 and 9 when i first heard those songs in the 2000's. Waiting patiently to see KT live again probably wont be for another 2 to 3 years 😢 she was fantastic
David was laughing because it is very rare to hear one whistle like that in a song. Its kind of like playing a kazoo (which she does in Black Horse sometimes...) and is more joking than musical. Yet she did it beautifully (like everything else she does) and it fit the song: Still A Wierdo. One of my favorite KT songs.
The lyrics really do bring a tear to my eye, ore a few dozen. Maybe it's because I can really relate or maybe it's just because she's so fantastic at conveying her message.
I think he smiled for that very reason, but possibly for the same reason that I smiled...I think I could quite easily fall in love with her. Maybe he did.
No I know I took for granted that things Would always go the way I wanted oh I was going to be a treetop A sea, a boat, a rock of ages I dont always get it right I'd see it in a different kind of light Pay my lip service Keep it eloquent Optimistic but Never quite elegant Still a weirdo Still a weirdo, after all these years I'd always thought it's automatic To grow into a soul less static But here i am upon the same spot Attempting to lift off into space I dont always get it right But a thousand different ways And I just might Pay my lip service Keep it eloquent Optimistic but Never quite elegant Still a weirdo Still a weirdo, after all these years Pay my lip service Keep it eloquent Optimistic but Never quite elegant Still a weirdo Still a weirdo, after all these years Still a weirdo Still a weirdo, after all these years After all these years
I like how people on UA-cam seem to know everything. "He's laughing because of this, no he's laughing because of this." Maybe he's not even laughing at her at all. Maybe he's laughing because he forgot to tell his wife to pick his kids up at school, or maybe he's laughing because he forgot to pay the last phone bill. You never know.
No special effects, no flashy lights, no gigantic speakers...this right here is real talent.
its called an acoustic set, but your point is taken and appreciated.
She's a wonderfully talented lady, and so beautiful

I must be in a very emotionally vulnerable mood, because this is such a special gathering of talent I am tearing up.

David Gray is just as blown away as the rest of us. That was pretty special.

@rog09lor i think he smiled cause he liked that she whistled. maybe she's never really whistled like that before
I think he smiled for that very reason, but possibly for the same reason that I smiled...I think I could quite easily fall in love with her. Maybe he did.
is that David Gray?
me too!! it`s like "The Entertainer" her acoustic version is so much better than the studio overproduced version!!
No I know I took for granted that things
Would always go the way I wanted oh
I was going to be a treetop
A sea, a boat, a rock of ages
I dont always get it right
I'd see it in a different kind of light
Pay my lip service
Keep it eloquent
Optimistic but
Never quite elegant
Still a weirdo
Still a weirdo, after all these years
I'd always thought it's automatic
To grow into a soul less static
But here i am upon the same spot
Attempting to lift off into space
I dont always get it right
But a thousand different ways
And I just might
Pay my lip service
Keep it eloquent
Optimistic but
Never quite elegant
Still a weirdo
Still a weirdo, after all these years
Pay my lip service
Keep it eloquent
Optimistic but
Never quite elegant
Still a weirdo
Still a weirdo, after all these years
Still a weirdo
Still a weirdo, after all these years
After all these years
